I used a chainsaw mill for 2 years without these - don't make the same mistake. These are very inexpensive, easy to install on the log being milled and very easy to toss a couple of 2 X 4's on for a good cut

worked very well to start my milling slabs hobby lol. made starting cuts nice and level and even. very easy to use. came with plenty of screws and a decent small level to get it set right. can use them in 2 different ways to make nice even slabs. just make sure you use two premium and straight 2x4s or other pieces and you'll have zero issues

This is a great product, though I wish it was a little taller, for those weird shaped logs. It’s hard to get screws into the log when it’s shaped weird. Other than that, this is a great product. I love that it came with a magnetic level.

The media could not be loaded. Made it simple to build and attach rails for the chainsaw mill. Good quality.

Decent quality, good price

This product is supposed to be for people who are using a chainsaw mill to create perfect boards. These guides are supposed to be placed on top of a log to make sure the first cut is a straight one and square. I found this very difficult to use, and not very reliable as far as the straightness was concerned. You have to use two by fours or other wood that is straight so the dependency upon the wood being straight affected the straightness of the first cut.. It is probably much more simple to use a ladder on the top of your log to get a great first cut on the log. Although this was not an expensive item, it did not do the trick for me.

If you are buying a Zozen, this is a super helpful and reasonably priced add on. The rail, when set up with some straight boards (or metal rails), will provide your saw with a stable platform to make that first level cut.
