PetSafeMicrochip Cat Door Tunnel Extension for Thick Walls and Doors, Easy Install

I use this as a tunnel through the wall covering. In other words I put a hole in the wall for the cat and I use this so that nothing can come through the opening in the wall except the cat.

Planned to use this tunnel extension on a newly replaced cat door. After installing the door, determined that the extension was not necessary. Might use the extension as a cookie cutter for sandwich shaped cookies.

I have Petsafe Microchip Cat Door I'm putting through a wall. This is needed for the depth. Sadly, the electronic door and this extension is so small most of the cats, which are already trained for a cat doors, won't go through it due to the long tunnel and small opening. My cats weight 9 to 12 pounds. One good thing about Petsafe Microchip Cat Door is my cat that can defeat almost any cat door can't defeat the security of this one.For some reason, after a year or so, it forgot all but one cat. I reset it, but again it will only accept one cat. We turned off the electronics and use it anyway because the escape-artist cat can't defeat this door.

Sure flap is a money pit so far.This does not fit "cat flap connect" because of a slight change in shape, (not size). The one that fits is $45.FOUR TIMES THIS - FOR A PIECE OF PLASTIC.No model numbers that I can find "fits XYZ" just a maze of products.They could have a chart to sort all this out but I guess they prefer unhappy customers and returns.

Tried to follow the instructions and failed to connect with the chip in our cat.

This does not work with the dual scan. My review is just to state that. The tunnel would work well with the correct product I am sure

The PetSafe door and therefore tunnel extension was too small for one of our dogs, and we had to return all of it. It was advertised for cats and small dogs, but not for our small dog! Sure wish PetSafe made a medium size Microchip door!
