I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato (Charlie and Lola)

Such a fun book to read
I love how the author captured how children talk. Great ideas on dealing with picky eaters. Lola is a smart and sassy character always outsmarting her older sibling Charlie. I love their dynamic. It is a cute story my child adores. I don’t mind rereading it. The drawings are unusual for a kids book which isn’t my personal favorite style of art but my child likes it. So I highly recommend.

Absolutely delightful!
I just love Charlie & Lola! This is a great book! Charlie is such a lovely big brother and reminds me so much of several of the children I cared for when I lived in England. Lola is also delightful, and 'full of beans' as they say on that side of the pond. There's no need for Supernanny with these two, they are sweet, respectful, charming, imaginative and delightful. My 19 month old daughter doesn't watch the television version, but is always asking me to read this book and several of the other C&L books to her. The other day she met a little boy at the playground with this book, it was the Korean version, but boy did she recognize it! I am looking foward to buying the DVD's for my little girl for Christmas.I will be first in line for any more of these wonderful stories.

This book helped to reduce mealtime battles!
This is an excellent read-along book for a 2 to 3-year-old. My daughter made me read it repeatedly.Unexpected consequence, she started eating the foods in the book that Lola will not. She did not want to be considered a fussy eater. Bonus!

After Reading This, You'll Eat a Tomato!
I LOVE this book! I bought it to help build a library for a friend's son. I find the way it delivers it's message original and creative! When I first saw the show (this particular episode, in fact) several years ago on Disney (?), I was instantly in love and have been ever since. When I saw I could get this book, I just knew the little boy had to have it! I recommend it to any one looking for a book for any child! In fact, I recommend the 'Charlie and Lola' series, be it book or tv, as I found the tv series to be such a great show for kids. The way the author teaches kids what to do in different situations is SO AWESOME! So many children's shows try it using grownup perspectives, but she seems to approach it from a child's perspective, and she does it so well! A definite recommend!

Cute
I was looking for a book to help with my progressively picky eater. This wasn't that book. But it was still very cute and fun. My son and I both enjoyed it so it was still a keeper. Only dinged it a star because I was hoping for more of a clear lesson on trying new foods. There is certainly a message on trying foods but it'll probably fly over the heads of any kid under 7 and I most people seeking out a book for this purpose are probably trying to stop a habit before it starts (2-4).

Silly, funny, picky eater book
Simple, well written and well illustrated. Good for kids maybe up to age 8 or so. Both my 5yr old grandson and 7 yr old granddaughter are enjoying it. They ask for it each time they spend the night. My grandson has sensory processing issues making him an extremely picky eater. I was hoping this book might help with that, but maybe 5 yrs is too old to start trying to fool him. But we never know what's going on in his mind, so maybe something from this will stick. Anyway, it is a fun book and worth buying.Enjoy!Maryann

Creative fun for picky eaters
Like so many real-life little ones, Lola has a long list of foods she absolutely won't eat. Brother Charlie finds a creative way to get her to try new things by reassuring her that they're not on her "no" list: Carrots? No, these are orange twiglets from Jupiter! Mashed potatoes? No, it's cloud fluff from the pointiest peak of Mount Fuji! Sadly, the trick doesn't work at all for our own picky eater, but it does make for a cute and charming book. Lauren Child has a special way of putting things into language that feels just right for little kids, and this is our very favorite of the Charlie and Lola series. Highly recommended.

MUST HAVE for picky eaters
My 7 year old is on the Autism spectrum and has always struggled with a limited diet and trying new foods. He has been in feeding therapy for months (they use the Kay Toom SOS approach). The Occupational Therapist that runs the group has read this to the kids many times, so we bought it to carry over therapy at home. This has really helped him explore more foods as he has a fun story to go along with the experience of new foods.
