DecoArt Americana Chalky Finish Paint, 8-Ounce, Relic, Metallic

Very happy with this paint!! Beautiful finished product, and the application was very easy. I also appreciate the low odor (I have asthma and paint smells usually trigger a reaction. I worked with this all day and it didn't bother me slightly.)I used Relic with the clear wax on a bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet, then changed the hardware and I love the new look. Friends and family now want me to help them with various furniture painting projects because they were impressed with the finished product. I also decided to use the extra paint I had to change the look of a railing in my house (it had been an old orangey oak which didn't match my décor very well). Not that I recommend it, but I didn't even use a drop cloth because it is nice and thick and easy to apply.

This paint (any color) is worth every penny!! Makes everything beautiful! This paint goes so far! One little jar can paint entire large pieces of furniture. Makes everything gorgeous!! The finish is perfect and even better with a wax top coat. I will never buy anything other than chalk paint and this brand is JUST AS GOOD as more expensive brands!

Paint was great mix with another color to get I wanted. You don't need a whole lot of paint one container was enough for a dresser. I have use more expensive chalk paint and this brand is Better

I used this to paint a night stand and dresser. I also used it on the bottom of an end table with stain on the top. LOVE the results. Easy to use, quick to dry. Also used the clear matte varnish made by the same company.

The paint is fine. But they sent charcoal instead of jet black

Good stuff. One 8 oz jar and a minimal amount of another 8 oz jar was enough to paint our fireplace/hearth with 2-3 coats after I replaced a broken tile. A little bit goes a long way, but I'd recommend priming whatever surface you're painting.Pros: cheap, really easy to work with and paint/spread, and great matte finished appearance.Cons: Stuff is not durable/moisture/scratch resistant. Simply spreading polyurethane over it brought up some of the paint and left spots that needed to be retouched (after having applied 2 coats). I imagine if you're painting a piece of furniture (ie dresser or rocking chair) it's going to need to some sort of varnish/seal to maintain the finish, but that defeats the purpose of the ultra matte / chalky finish. Wish it was more durable, water brings it right up or simple friction rubs it right off.

Great paint...much more blue than grey. I painted a whole desk with one bottle.

I love all the Americana Décor Paint colors. Today I mixed Relic with Legacy and got the most wonderful dark blue color which I put on a cedar chest in one coat. I used very little of the paint and have almost 2 full jars left. This paint goes on smoothly and also goes a long way. I have painted so many things with it and I am always amazed at how far each jar goes. The chest looks gorgeous!!!! I would highly recommend all the Americana Décor Paints.
