Sturdy. Good battle ready replica. No regrets
I'm a very picky knife owner/collector. That being said, I was over joyed upon opening and handling this kabar replica. It's battle ready, it's spot on, it's a looker and a preformer. It's a lot of knive for the price. The sheath could use 3 rivets in the trouble areas. But that is easily modded if necessary. Depends on how rough you are with it. But none the less, knife will take a lot of abuse and still be able to get the job done.

I love this knife!
This is exactly what I wanted and expected. I like the cover and the sharp blade. It’s nice for carrying inside your boots for protection.

Seriously, it's alright for 30 bucks
Seriously folks, this knife is pretty [darn] good for 30 bucks. Yeah it doesn't have the sharpest edge out of the box, but it can still take a sharp edge. It's funny how people think the Marines issued premium knives and bayonets and stuff. Far from the truth, this could have easily made it into a marines government issue as is.But seriously it's not bad at all for 30 bucks, it's not that sharp, but it's still sharp enough! It felt relatively solid out of the box. It'll give someone a bad day on the wrong end of it. I'm sure it could still hack some brush. Feels like it would stay together. Update: judging how this k-bar made pretty light work of the thistle bush out in front of my house, I'm going to have to say the blade is pretty sharp!

Not a REAL K-Bar, But a Decent Replica!
First off, I knew for the price that this wouldn't be a real USMC K-Bar. And, to the manufacturer's credit, they don't call it one, either. It's a "USMC Combat Fighter Knife." Ha! Genuine USMC K-Bar prices are in the $80-100 range, when you get the real deal. That being said, I don't know HOW in the world a replica K-Bar that was manufactured in CHINA gets a seal of approval/official license from the U.S. Marine Corps. Has my Corps changed this much? Ouch. Glad I still have the real version. All that aside, the actual product isn't bad for the price. The blade needs sharpening, but the leather handle's "blood grooves" and leather sheathe are actually not bad at all. It's a nice knife for under 30 bucks. Balance is pretty good. Don't get me wrong; you'll be highly unlikely to take this into the field and expect much from it. I doubt it'd last under any kind of duress. So, treat it for what it is: A prop. No more...no less.I actually do like it, in that sense. Not happy about the China thing, but what ISN'T made there, these days. Oy.
