Game changer!!!! No algae!!! Best spent money!!! Safe for my fish!!! I bought a different UV light that the wattage was too high and I read other reviews for the type I returned and read it’s not safe for fish or turtles… So I returned them…and I bought this brand and hooked the tube to the UV filter straight to my filter on one line and it works perfect!! got one filter for my Koi Fish, Pond, and one for my red eared turtle slider pond!!!Best investment- glad I found this!!! thank you

My pond had turned into pea soup and I couldn't even see my fish babies. Read that I needed a uv filter so bought this one. In just a week my pond has gone from pea soup to no longer pea soup. The water is almost crystal clear and I can see my fishes and the bottom of the pond once again. Will probably be a few more days before its back to crystal clear but this uv filter works wonders.

This UV pond water clarifier works perfectly. Pond water was noticeably clear after 4 hours and completely cleared overnight, after being run for about 18 hours on my 600 gallon pond. Helpful tip to avoid leaks, use plumbing tape around the threaded area, because the rubber washer was not sufficient to prevent leaks. Very easy to set up and unit itself looks and feel heavy-duty. It’s also a great idea to have some metal gasket from hardware to tighten the hose just in case. However, I did not need them with the 1 1/2 hose I used; gave me a snug fit.

Bulb burnt up about a month later. Tried to get a new one. Through the company they played games. Disappointed cheap quality. Save your money. Do not buy

There is a limit switch inside the cap that has to be made. If cap is not screwed on tight enough the switch won't make. This is actually a good feature. I was impressed when I found this. Once I discovered this and got it going it took nearly two weeks to clear up the water. Our pond gets full sun all day so that may have been why it took longer to clear up. It does work! We are happy with it so far. Nice to see the fish again.

Installing this resolved my major algae problem. This koi pond was at the house when I bought it, I never wanted to put money into it but this UV filter is the best decision I’ve made. You might have to get a hose fitting adapter/hose from Lowe’s depending on your current pump/hose size. Once installed the water is clear to the bottom, fish are racing around happily, and the koi pond is an attraction again. Highly recommend this product.

I am very frustrated with this product!! After attaching and reattaching the pond hoses (with hose clamps) several times, it continued to leak. We even purchased different fittings but it continued to leak so I'M DONE!!

This thing is amazing!!!! I have goldfish in a 100 gallon stock tank temporarily and the water was solid green and smelled strongly of algae. After approximately 4 days, the water was crystal clear and has stayed that way for almost a month despite the tank getting a fair amount of sun all day. When I first got it I missed part of the instructions and had contacted Tetra customer service who were very helpful and prompt. This thing definitely gets the job done and keeps the water looking crystal clear.
