I want to add my own testimonial to the collected talent of Andreae, Sharratt and Lenny Henry. The poetry is simple but surreally hilarious ("Groovy pants, funky pants, cheeky little monkey pants, pants you can wear if you're 10 feet tall") and totally infectious (I catch myself singing it at odd moments around the house!). It makes a real change from moralistic, worthy, educational or sickly sweet children's stories. Let's face it, little people love being silly and this book is silly in spades!The illustrations are colourful and zany. But, best of all, is the CD that comes with this edition. Lenny Henry sings the poem in a whole range of styles - rock, reggae, rap, disco, folk. He is hysterical. When I listen to the CD with my son we are torn between dancing round the room or trying to turn the pages and keep up with the song. Often we listen to it through a few times so we can do both.The book and CD together are fabulous value for money. I have bought several copies for friends and heartily recommend to everyone with a small child.

There was a time in our lives where the only thing that would calm our daughter down was singing this book. I can recite this book in my sleep. Wonderful illustrations. Lovely rhyming fun. This is a brilliant book for toddlers. However, we bought this book when our daughter was about 3 months old. It was the only book she wanted for months. The version we had had a CD attached with the book sung by Lenny Hendry - you can guess what we had to listen to on long journeys! Brilliant. Buy this book for your toddler.

My Reception class have worn through 3 copies of this over the past 5 years it is thumbed through that much! Perfect for children age 2-6, humorous with a hint of naughtiness that appeals so much to this age group (pants on your head when you've gone crazy, little baby nappy pants, no pants at all etc) without being vulgar which I sadly find the sequel to this book (farty pants etc). Was so pleased I picked that one up in a bookstore and read through it before purchasing as I would not have been happy to have that in my classroom. This original version though is utterly brilliant and never fails to raise a smile.

Bought another copy as my eldest daughter had it when she was little and I knew my youngest would love it. She’s memorised almost the whole book and absolutely loves it!

My little granddaughter loves the book, particularly the nonsense pictures. She's not so keen (perhaps it'll come with age) on the CD - perhaps the delivery is too fast or maybe that's just the rap way of doing thingsPants

One of my favourite read-aloud books for young children. The rhyming text is a delight to read and kids love the incredible range of pants in the pictures. This is the perfect book to give to a child who is undergoing potty training and somewhat focused on underwear!

My little girl loves this. We bought it just before potty training to get her interested in big girl pants.It's a good fun, rhyming book with bold illustrations.From a bedtime routine point of view: it's quite short and concise so if time is against us it's a good pick!!

Pants will entertain toddler and adult alike and will soon become a favorite. The illustrations are bright and colorful and varied as the title states, with fun wording for each image, frilly, lacy, spotty. This child's book makes a lovely toddler gift.
