DaiwaRevros LT Spinning Reel

I have been using these since i believe 2018 when i got into kayak fishing. Im in Louisiana and fish only saltwater. I clean the reels off after every use and have had no issue.These things are quiet, comfortable and very smooth.For the $50 price range, it is my favorite go to reel and if something ever happens to it, i didn’t spend a fortune on it.

This reel is very smooth, has a smooth drag, and is built really well. My 2nd time using it it came off my rod because the thing that holds the reel broke on the pole. And the reel went right into the water. After taking the reel apart to clean all of the sand out of the reel I was seeing that everything was good quality and in the gears there was very little sand and no water soo this is a very well sealed. I thought this was a really simple reel as I took it apart and its only my 2nd time taking a reel apart and I had no problems everything was pretty straight forward. Over all great reel for small bass and panfish!!!!

The media could not be loaded. This is an absolutely great reel, for the price point it beats all others in the sub $50 range.Nothing else comes close.Only drawbacks I can think of would be weight is somewhat heavy compared to other reels that are more expensive, the retrieval inertia isn’t as smooth as a more expensive reel and the drag clicker is fairly quiet. Other than that this is an amazing reel. Cast amazing and line lay is great out of the box!

Update: I liked the Revros LT 2500-XH so much (still happy with it) that I purchased the Revros LT 4000-C. I don't usually leave reviews of anything so soon, BUT I felt this needed one.I was looking for a larger spinning reel (than my 2500s) for steelhead fishing and according to DAIWA's website the 4000 should have fit the bill. I am not big on using braid and much prefer the characteristics of monofilament, typically I use Trilene XL as it is slim for its rating. The 4000 is advertised with MONO: 12/160, 14/140. What's printed on the side of the spool says something entirely different. Yes the spool says 10 and 12. I have a 4000 size Shimano and a lot more line than this one. Please don't misunderstand me. I took off one star for what was advertised as a larger reel and find out is not as big as its was said to be. Much closer to a 3000 in capacity. Should be advertised with 8lb 200yds and 10lb 160yds. If one were to use say Berkley Trilene Big Game or Maxima Ultragreen, that 10/160 becomes 10/135 (Shimano 2500 holds 120yds of 10lb), far from the supposed 12/160 and 14/140 that its advertised at. The quality and fit and finish are good, just like my Revros LT 2500-XH. The lip of the spool is rounded and smooth. Turning the handle on the 4000 reveals the same smoothness of the 2500. The braid is PE #1.5 and has the diameter of .008" or right close to 4lb test mono. It can hold a fair amount (nearly 220yds) of braid and I may end up doing just that.I took 1 star off my original review due to the size and capacity difference vs what was actually advertised for the Revros LT 4000C.Original review (5 star): Bought one of the Daiwa Revros LT 2500-XH to try it out. My current reels are a bit heavy and the angle on the arm is very uncomfortable. The Daiwa Revros LT was a real pleasant surprise. Fairly light, yet sturdy and rather comfortable to use. Caught a couple of nice sized trout the first time out. A gentleman fishing next to me was really impressed with how smooth and long casting the reel was. Asked me about my line if I was using braid. Told him I was using 6# Trilene XL and not braided line. I used the supplied inch per turn and put roughly 100yds or so on. But, I do have to agree with that gentleman, this reel is smooth for sure and definitely casts a good long distance (not nearly as far as the Calcutta Conquest BFS HG though). In case any are wondering I am using a St. Croix Triumph 7' 2pc ML rod. Hope this helps...

This is one of my favorite! The feel and how smooth it is when casting and reeling up! When a fish hits, watch out! We bought four two for me and two for hubby! Must have

I put this on 6’6” Okuma Celilio ultralight rod and it’s great! I’m using braid with a a 4 lb fluorocarbon leader. This reel is high quality and handles fairly big trout nicely! The drag is great! I highly recommend this little reel!

This has to be one of the best reels in this price range. Buttery smooth and feels solid. I’ve caught close to 100 bass on it at this point and love it. Highly recommend

This reel is amazing. I have it paired with a medium rod. I throw finesse worms and crappie jigs and it feels great. Reel looks great and reels smooth. It is dinged up from me dropping it on rocks but still handles like new out the box.
