Nice peat moss!
The media could not be loaded. I’m using peat moss inside my indoor plant soil mix and my seed starting mix. So far so good with both. Feels and looks nice. Seems quality. Pretty easy to add to soil. Plants and seed sprouts are healthy. I would recommend!

Quite expensive, but comes sterile
You can get 2.5x the amount of peat moss from the Hoffman’s brand for the same price as this stuff here on Amazon. This stuff is kind of a rip off. However, its saving grace is that it comes sterilized, so you don’t have to add boiling water to kill any bugs and cooties that come with buying dirt stuff in bags. So it depends on your threshold for garden tasks. It’s nice to be able to just add water and plant my seeds vs waiting a day for boiled peat moss to cool down to plant in.I have had great germination with this stuff. I love using peat moss for seed germination as it’s really easy to tell when it needs to be watered. You just pick it up and feel the weight and you scratch the surface of the peat moss - if it’s the same color as the top underneath it’s time to water. My good ‘ol pal Jacques in the Garden taught me that, although using peat moss alone to germinate seeds came from The Modern Homestead Garden by Gary Pilarchik. It holds nutrients well, my seedlings grow quick when 1/2 strength fish emulsion is added to the watering schedule after the first set of true leaves sprout. I use a 6:1 ratio of peat moss to vermiculite. I buy vermiculite from this brand as well and really like it.This peat moss does have quite a few little sticks in it.

Great for starting seeds but needs Perlite & Vermiculite
First I emptied the bag of Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss into a bucket and poured boiling water in it to kill off fungus gnats, their eggs, and their larvae. Once cooled down, I added Perlite for drainage and Vermiculite for water retention. This mixture has been working well for pepper seeds that I started 3 weeks ago. No gnats, but many germinated seeds.

Great Peat Moss
This was more than I expected when I purchased this moss for my terrarium. I was expecting the bag to be smaller, but it is quite large and I have some peat left over, which I will use in the garden. Great organic buy. If you are looking on amazon for peat moss, look no further. Wait, why are you looking further? Stop looking further and buy the moss already. You were going to anyway when you were at lowe's but they were all out because that old bag swooped in and bought the last of it. Well don't worry, you didn't want the lowe's stuff anyway. It had fertilizer in it and she didn't read that part. Now her carnivorous plants are going to suffer and your's will thrive and grow and eat!
