Doom 3 - BFG Edition (PS3)

Awesome game and very scary. Kids please don't buy it as you'll get nightmares.Me being an adult itself am afraid to play this game alone.

This PS3 game CD came with the original doom 1 and 2. I was instantly transported to my school days when I used to play this game addictively. The BFG edition that is the main game here for the PS3 and the two old editions, doesn't need any installation and can be played off the CD. The graphics is horrible though. It's so bad that the monsters or demons made me laugh so hard that I forgot that I'm playing a horror game. If you want to experience nostalgia, then this game is for you. Just don't expect a PS4 level animation or graphics. Think you're back in the 90's sitting in front of the PC and you may be able to tolerate it better. Otherwise, it's a waste of money. Unless, you want to laugh seeing the poor graphics.

Continuacion del clasico Doom, los graficos no han envejecido bien, pero la historia se mantiene dentro del canon: un marine en marte que mata demonios (no necesitas mas historia), el sistema de juego es el mismo: dispara y avanza (resolviendo pequeños acertijos), viene con los dos clasicos Doom y Doom II, recomendable solo para los gustosos del genero

Está genial, incluye el Doom, el Doom 2 y el Doom 3 con todas las expansiones.Incluye idioma Español, tanto en audio como en subtítulos, para el Doom 3, y los menús son en Español también.La pega es que al principio eliges un juego, de los 3, y para cambiar tienes que salir al menú de la ps3 y volver a entrar.

I have been a big fan of doom since it's release for PC many years agonow it's released for the ps3 and it's Fantastic I really was amazed at how wellthey redid the graphics for Doom 3 and the controls on all three Dooms areexactly like mainstream FPS games (like CoD and Battlefield) using R1 to shoot R2 to change weapons L1 for flashlight (Doom 3 only)what's more amazing is they have all THREE games running at a silky smooth60 Frames Per Second which makes the older games look much better then previous ports. the sound effects are exact as they should be and the option to playFOUR player split screen on Doom 1, 2, and Online MP for Doom 3 just makes this a Must Have package fordoom lovers everywhere. they also included Online Multiplayerfor Doom 3 and while simple compared to todays mainstream shooters,it's still a blast to play with multiple game modes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Tourney (one on one deathmatch) and Last Man (be the Sole Survivor). I am about 3 hours now into Doom, 5 hours into Doom 2 and about 6 hours into Doom 3 and if you're looking for a goodscare for Halloween this just might be what you're looking for.Graphics: Doom 1 and 2 are smoother but mostly the same monster textures are smoother though (doom 1 and 2) Doom 3 looks Fantastic with it's HD makeover and is so creepy compared to most games from this gen. 5 starsSound: excellent and exact in D1 and 2 Doom 3 really shines here I am talking sound effects that will set you up to be scared and you will jump, trust me. easily 5 starsGameplay: thankfully they tuned all THREE games to run perfectly off the dualshock which makes the game control without effort, also lots of options for gamma, and sensitivity for the speed for turning etc. 5 stars!Fun: after all these years Doom 3 still makes me jump and I love it. Doom 1 is as fun as I remember with all secrets right where they were in the original release. Doom 2 looks as good plus all hidden areas are still hidden well and the game plays perfectly Doom 3 is the perfect halloween scare game for me with it's Moody sounds and Creepy effects plus the Hd graphics. 5 stars!Overall: some long load times and slightly intrusive Game Saves (autosave)(sometimes the autosave takes you out of the moment and is annoying fortunately it's mainly before a cutscene or at the end of a level. these are about the only mar on an otherwise perfect Doom release package. Multiplayer is a blast and the single player is just as fun if not more fun then I had remembered.the graphical overhaul will have you on the edge of your seat since it really brought out the creepy atmosphere of this game. I'd recommend the Doom 3 BFG edition to anyone not just FPS fans. that's saying something. 5 stars for a perfect collection, possibly the best HD collection this year!if you're question is "is it worth it?"the answer is simple and easy "Yes it is!"UPDATE: it seems Doom 1 and Doom 2 have Online MP as well as offline split screen.I just found this out today as I began playing and got an invite froma friend, I was shocked we were co-op (ing) the campaign together. just too bad they Removed this option from Doom 3 but still a superb package of games.

自分はこのソフトにはオリジナルのDOOMとDOOM2が収録されているのはこちらのアマゾンレビューを見て知ってましたが、どうせこれまでに発売されてるプレステ版のDOOMと同じなのだろうと思ってましたが、YouTubeでパソコン版DOOMみたいな動画が上がってるのを見て思いきって購入しました。そしてドキドキしながらソフトを起動してみたら、やはりパソコン版と同じでした！これは良かったです！自分はパソコンを持ってなく、オリジナルのパソコン版DOOMは初プレイでした。(以前からやりたかったんだよ！)このPS3ソフトDOOM3 BFG EDITIONにはパソコン版のDOOMとDOOM2が収録されている。これだけで自分は買いでした。またバックに流れるBGMもプレステ版みたいな静かな(そうでもないか？)感じの音楽でなく、ノリのいいロック調のBGMでプレイ中もやる気が出ます。因みに本作品のメインのDOOM3はまだプレイしてません。なので今は3のレビューは出来ませんし、今後プレイするかも分かりません。やはりオリジナルのDOOMがいいです！最後に付け加えますと、本作に収録されているオリジナルDOOM(2も含む)のコントローラー操作方法はプレステ版とは全く異なりますのでプレステ版DOOMの操作方法に慣れてる人は覚えるまで大変かもしれません。操作方法が変更出来たら良いのですが、どうも出来ないようです。というのも自分は輸入盤を購入したため、説明書は当然英語で記載されてるのでよく分かりませんでした。一応全部見ましたが、載ってないようでした。自分はもう慣れましたし、本当にDOOMが好きな人はすぐ慣れると思いますよ。更に追記:本作品のパソコン版DOOMですが、プレステ版には収録されてなかったレベルも多数あります。またアーチバイルという敵もDOOM2のみですが出現します。この敵は死んだモンスターを生き返らせる能力を持つやっかいなモンスターですが、プレステ版では出ないのでこの点も嬉しかったです。あと最大の欠点は、武器を選ぶのにタイムロスがある事ですね。これはこのゲームにとって致命的な欠点です。プレステ版の場合、武器の番号がありその番号にカーソルを合わせて選ぶタイプだったのですぐに選びたい武器にする事が出来ましたが、このパソコン版の場合一応画面には番号が表示されてますが、一つ一つ武器が表示されて選ぶタイプ(番号の意味が分からない)なので、時間がかかりとっさに強力な武器にしようとしても時間がかかるせいでその間敵からダメージを喰らいます。これはどうにかならないのでしょうか？DOOMにとってすぐ武器を替える事が出来ないのはむしろ、致命的だと思います。
