Wasabi Power LP-E17 Battery (2-Pack) and Dual USB Charger for Canon LP-E17 and Canon EOS R10, EOS RP, EOS M6 Mark II, M6, M5, M3, EOS Rebel T8i, T7i, T6i, T6s, EOS Rebel SL3, SL2, EOS 77D

These batteries charge quickly and work great in my Canon Rebel T6i. Note, as others have, that they do not display the battery life. Unless you're going on a multi-day hike and don't have access to power, this will not be a problem. Also note that you will need an AC wall adapter, as this does not come with one (only comes with the cord). Any phone wall charger works great, and the nice thing about the cord having a USB connection is that it's ready to use with portable battery packs (great for hiking!).They last as long, maybe longer, when compared with the Canon battery. When I'm doing a long day of shooting, I will use the Wasabi batteries first, then the Canon battery last so that I can be conservative at the end if needed. Unless you're shooting a ton of video like I was, I don't think you'll be able to deplete these two batteries in a day. One battery alone lasts several days of more casual shooting. Highly recommend.

Batteries work well. Doesn't last as long as the Canon one but works well. Had a defective battery and they sent me 2 extra batteries and an extra charger. Nice to know you have extra batteries for pictures.

I needed some additional batteries for a trip to the Canadian tundra where the cold weather would cause the batteries to drain more quickly and where I would have limited opportunities to re-charge the batteries, so I bought these in addition to the battery that came with my Canon camera. Although these batteries didn’t give me quite as much charge time as the Canon OEM battery, they got the job done and enabled me to be able to take photos all day and then recharge at night. Note that these batteries MUST be recharged using their own charger (which will NOT charge the Canon battery). That is the reason that I took off one star.

I ordered directly from Blue Nook as Amazon was temporary out of stock, got it 2 days later in nicely packaged First Class mail shipped all the way across the country from California.I really like the USB dual charger. It's very light and small, has very secure fit for the batteries, super simple to operate and the best part is that you can charge batteries from any source of USB power, be it your laptop, car USB adapter, USB battery pack, etc. So you can charge it on the move and are not limited by the AC outlet availability.Charger has two multi-color lights - one per each battery. You can charge either one battery or both, does not matter. Light is red when battery is charging and turns green when it's done. Battery may remain in the charger indefinitely without any ill effrect and will remain fully charged.Batteries themselves are exact same size as Canon original LP-E17 and go into my Canon EOS M3 without any fitting issues. When you first turn on the camera after changing the battery, Canon will ask you two questions:- Does this battery has authentic Canon logo - please answer NO- Do you want to continue to operate camera without battery information - please answer YES.After that camera operates as usual even if you turn it off/on many times. Battery info is indeed not displayed, but I found it of little problem. Original Canon battery info is displayed as an icon with full/half/one third/flashing low battery signs. The problem with original battery is that it may take a long time to switch from full to one-half icon, but then it may quickly go to one third or even straight to flashing no battery sign, so you can not realistically estimate how much time is left on the battery. Carrying two extra batteries will last you through even the busiest days and ability to charge on the go (if you take with you one of the USB battery packs) is invaluable, especially if you plan to shoot video a lot, which consumes power rather quickly.Wasabi battery capacity is equal to genuine Canon battery (1,040mAh) and I found it very similar in real battery life to the original battery. You can not charge Wasabi batteries in Canon charger (it flashes error lights), but you can charge Canon battery in the dual USB charger. And since provided dual USB charger is both lighter and smaller then the original Canon single AC charger, it makes sense to just shuffle the original charger back into box the camera came in (you saved it, right?) and forget that it ever existed. USB charger is much more convenient to use (see above) and can charge two batteries at once, which is a great saver if you are in a hotel at night, preparing for the next day of adventures.5 stars!

These batteries are compatible with a Canon EOS R8 that I had also just purchased. They will not charge in the Canon provided charger, but the Canon LP-E17 battery will charge in the Wasabi charger. They fit perfectly in the camera. I have not yet done an extended shoot to see what the life and longevity of the battery is. So far, I am happy to have these and the charger as my backup batteries.

I just received the Wasabi batteries this afternoon and am very pleased that my T7i and 77D did not ask the question and displayed the battery level indicator as normal. I have not had a chance to use them yet, but if the Wasabi batteries work well I will definitely buy more.09/24/2018 Update: The batteries continue to work well. The charger also works well. However, the battery charge level indicator on the camera does not show current charge level. It shows a fully charged battery all the time. The camera will only show current battery levels when using Canon brand batteries. This is not a major problem for me. I just have to be vigilant to change batteries before they might be fully discharged, especially if recording video. I mainly use them as backups to my Canon batteries anyway.

Me recomendaron esta marca de baterías. Obviamente por el precio, no tenía muchas expectativas. Las he usado en eventos mientras grabao video y n me avisan cuando la bateria está en el nive mínimo para yo saber que tengo que cambiarla. Simplemente se apaga de golpe. Esa situación me ha dejado triste. De resto, la capacidad de la batería si es buena. Solo que me desconcierta usarlas porque no sé en qué momento se me apagará la cámara. Así que no las uso en momentos importantes de los eventos.
