DX7 reborn (kinda). Thanks Yamaha!
Pros:- Good price for the features- can’t stop staring at the DX7 part of the signs on the keyboard.- It has same nice large bright touchscreen like the flagship Montage.- Nice keys- Tons of possibility with the synth engines.- Lightweight. Nothing beats that for this level.- Has almost the same features as in the flagship Montage except few things that most people might not need.- The side accents made this keyboard look fancy.Cons:- Too much wasted “space” on the right side. I guess it’s good for putting tablet/device there.- Not too big on the wheels location. They feel like cheap plastics found on cheap MIDI controller such as the recent KX series.- There is no way to turn off the blinking Super button? I know it’s cool but not in all situations we need it.

Great addition to my keyboard collection
The Yamaha MODX7 is outstanding in many ways. It has an extra large library of voices. The piano sampling is far better than my much more expensive Nord EX. I thought I might have trouble adapting to the semi-weighted keys, but it took only a few minutes to adjust to it. There are a few problems (at least for me). The first problem is the terminology used for the various functions. Why call a performance grouping a "scene"? Now I need a glossary of definitions to identify the functions. The other criticism is the unevenness of the key voicings. The C# 5 is much louder than its neighboring notes. As a piano technician, I deal with voicing acoustic pianos on a daily basis. Surely Yamaha can do the same on a digital instrument.

Bought and paid for new MODX7 but packaging is not new
I just got my MODX7 delivered minutes ago (have been wanting to purchase one since mid-2019), and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. It appears someone uses a box cutter to cut out sections all over the box to remove bar codes.I paid for a NEW keyboard, so I expected a new keyboard in its original packaging with original codes.

Impresionante!
Fabuloso, me llevara bastante tiempo dominar minimamente las capacidades de este instrumento.
