Retaining Ring Removal Tool Key for Most Philips Norelco Series 7000 and Series 9000 Shavers

I thought this was a gimmick but it really worked. One of my caps would not stay in place no matter how I tried to put it in. The other clips I was able to do manually. I ordered new clips and one of these. This arrived first, and it took about 3 seconds to secure the clip.

Be warned, this is absolute junk, not an actual Norelco tool for the razor heads, but something homemade, and not even well-made at that. The item literally broke into two pieces within the first 30 seconds out of the package. And even if it had not split in two it is clear that it does NOT FIT the razor heads, I tried it! The side notches are far too small in length. Buyer beware, buy at your own risk, and by the way, this ships from Greece.

I lost the original

Try as I might, I could not get this simple tool to work. I had to resort to removing the blades by hand. Philips recommends it in their instruction manual of its rotary electric razors, but does not include one, which is cheap. Maybe I will try later, but the fit did not seem correct?

As described

First, it comes with no instructions, and it isn't intuitively obvious how to use it. Large part of tool is too big to fit into shave head, so I have no idea how this thing work. In the past, Norelco sold shave heads with a smaller tool that you used to set cutting blades into shaver head. Now they sell just shaver heads, so I needed something to set cutters into head. This doesn't do the trick. So I set them in by hand, but one head keeps popping out. Shame on Norelco for failing to include the tool they sent in the past, and same on Amazon for selling this piece of junk that simply doesn't work.
