Dark Souls III (PS4)

So !! Two main Aspects of the purchase to considerServiceAmazing service by Amazon. Got it a full day early wen it was supposed to take 5 days. It was in good shape etc etc.The GameThis game is amazing. Not in any way easy. So take that into account. Id say hardcore gamers only.all in all 10/10 would buy a game from amazon again.

FIRST TIME SOULS PLAYER HERE. And wow, I can see what all the hype is about. I've always been intimidated by Dark Souls since everyone always talks about how hard of a game it is...and I'll admit that it IS a hard game..but that does not take away from the fun factor one bit. And i would say that I am the type of person who is not the greatest at video games to begin with.As someone who is a fan of fantasy (The Witcher 3, Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones etc.) I felt intrigued enough to pick this game up. Great choice. This is the kind of game that you can play for 5 hours and not even know where the time went, and that is a rare occasion for me these days.The graphics look good, it plays fluidly,I noticed a few frame rate issues here and there but it was nothing major.some of the enemies are so badass looking that I can't help but admire them as they kill me.I've sunk 90 hours into this masterpiece and about to begin my new playthrough ,I'm loving every step of the way. If it's your first time and you're intimidated and worried you are going to keep dying, you WILL keep dying, but you will love it anyways. Pick it up. Just try to learn the basics from Youtube videos or Google since this game does not hold your hand.

Ofcourse it's the best best game in the Souls series, it's also the most difficult. This is just the base game, no DLC. The invasion community is still active in this.

For me, as a first time souls player. I knew what I was getting into, I died to the tutorial boss like 8-9 times. But then there is a learning curve to the game. Practice, patience(you need a lot of it) and the ability to explore will get you through the game, just don't freak out. The moment you freak out and lose focus during a boss battle you die. But then the challenge makes this game fun. On my first playthrough I soloed seven of the bosses on my first try. So, it's not that difficult. Just read and learn patterns of your enemies, and NEVER RUN INTO AN UNEXPLORED TERRITORY! All in all the game is not that hard as everyone says it to be.I'd give the game an 8.5 on 10, definitely my favorite JRPG.

An extremly hard game. Can't figure out what to do, Where to go, how to play this game. Controls are terrible. Even shield doesn't work most of the time.Grapics look dated.Stay away.

Darks souls puts up the formula that made the original and sequal a cult classic... you die,die,die and then die some more. Not because the game is unfair in any way but because you weren't patient enough or you weren't well equipped to handle the area or boss.Dark souls 3 has a very simple plot line which is kinda hard to pick up for those new to the series and would definitely have to go online and read about it. But in short it's the flames that kept the kingdom in harmony is fading and you need to prevent that. That's the shortest explanation I can come up with.Now gameplay, it plays like any of your classic RPG's where you choose a class like Knight or Mage(lot more classes available in-game) and play on and upgrade your character the way you want him to be a strong swords men or a spell caster. Here's where this game starts to get different from the rest. This game has absolutely no hand holding. And I mean nothing, there are no quest logs or maps to help you in your journey. You're on your own. You explore and find things along your journey.And unlike games like uncharted or God of War where you just run around and shoot or slash your way through. Dark souls 3 is more in the line of trial and error. You try a method of play you die then you try another method and see how that goes. The game even if it is hard, is not unfair by any means. And once you beat a boss that you've been trying to for a long time there is a level of satisfaction that no game can give you and wants to make you keep going.There is even an online component where you can get invaded by other people and they'll try to kill you. You can even ask other players help if you feel like you can't beat a boss by yourself and vice versa.
