Great product for a crappy purpose
I'll never go back to "dig & squat" camping again after using this portable toilet! First, packing out waste is a component of Leave No Trace, so I've been researching options around that for some time. I settled on this over seat+bag options and I believe this is superior for sanitation and handling waste with minimal smell. Second, space was a big consideration for us as we camp in a small pop-up and the 5 gal toilet is still small enough to fit easily in our setup.I highly recommend the port-a-pak tablets for the holding tank as 1 tab is sufficient for a whole trip of 3-4 nights between 2 people. The holding tank has an indicator for how full it is, but at 5 gallons we haven't had an issue with the capacity. The toilet's design is good for separating the flush mechanism from the tank for both use and maintenance. PLEASE flush a cup of water into the bowl before use as this helps keep the bowl clean - this requires a little more pumping before you sit, but is totally worth it for keeping clean. We have run out of flush water as it's only a bit more than a gallon in reserve, but it's easy to fill from our extra water tanks. Emptying the tank after a trip is nasty work, either at a chamber toilet or at home, but the tank spout and general design make it as easy as possible.

It does as advertized, pretty good for a big guy too
I have put on some weight over the past twenty years of sedentary living, (150 extra pounds) and I tried to make sure when we ordered this potty, it would handle my weight. The wife thought it was just perfect height, size, etc. etc., I was a bit concerned about the volume it could handle, as both of us run to the bathroom a lot, and several times (or more) in the night. The unit operated as described, and handled a full two days/nights of use, and we emptied it in the dump station at the camp grounds, and they had one of those handy spray hoses to help flush everything well.No undue leakage from any one area, just some handling residue from the way we handled it, the top 2.5 gal of water with the tank chemicals came together and separated from the waste tank just fine, the turn-out spout didn't leak and by opening the center chute device it allowed us to use the park water clean out hose to really get it cleaned out well. Note: Take some disposable gloves with you for this messy task. The wife thought the toilet lid was a bit quirky to open to reach the seat, but it didn't present too much of a problem (don't recommend sitting on the lid, or pressing it closed too tightly, if you want to avoid this).Overall I dropped it one star for the overall size; but then again I knew what size I was ordering, and this size was a lot easier to use then one of the 5 gal, which could weight a lot and cut into valuable space when packing in/out and filling up the water tank. The flush portion needed an extra cup of water from time to time to aid flushing oversize solid waste, but every thing else, could be handled by the pumped up pressure and the flusher.

Game changer, love it
I'm so happy that my husband had the idea to order this toilet. We don't do camping but we go to a lot of construction sites to install. I used to take a separate car just so i can leave when i need to use the toilet which was not ideal. Specially for longer drives. But i couldnt make myself to go to the porta potty. Now i have my own toilet and i love it. The only thing thats kind of funny but also awkward is the flush pumping which is so loud, it can be easily heard outside of a trailer. But otherwise, i already have this toilet for about a year and use it often and never had any problem with it breaking or not working

Works like a toilet should!
Great addition to my Chevy Express extended work van, for when there is no nearby "facility." Takes up minimal space and is simple to use. It already saved my butt (pun intended) on the first day of use. I got the 5 gallon unit for added capacity and less times to empty. It seems very sturdy and compact. I read reviews where people complain about the size of the seat. I'm 5'10" and slim. It was perfect. I'm not using it to sit and watch TV from. Only taking care of business. Not much else to say about it other than I might get a second one for my other van. I can already tell it will be a great addition for those long road trips when you don't want to stop at some sleazy convenience store. Oh, keep some hand sanitizer nearby and you are "good to go!"7 year update... still works fine and is very handy to have, however... the rubber seal that keeps the water in the bowl no longer holds and the water flows through to the waste tank. It also allows odors to escape and if you are in a hot climate... can be a bit overwhelming. I contacted Dometic to get a replacement seal, and they told me there isn't one. Odd because I have an RV Dometic toilet that is very similar, and you can replace the seal. I suppose 7 years of use is ok. I've adapted to the bowl losing water. You just have to work fast!

Leaks
The plunger to pressurize the tank makes an incredibly loud noise when you use it, and eventually stopped working. Now, after a couple months of use, its beginning to leak.

Awesome product.
I actually really liked it. I don’t know if it is fully worth what I paid for it to me personally for how little I use it, but if you’re using this often I’d say it’s worth it. Mine is more of an emergency toilet. That being said, it’s a great product and high quality. Easy to take the top off the tank and easy to dump/dispose of waste. I never experienced any leaking from it and the lid seals pretty well. Once you close the tank off from the toilet bowl you can’t smell any odor.
