Easily adjustable to the fullness you need
I am a side sleeper and have developed sore areas on the outer parts of my ears from constant pressure. These have a long name called "Chondrodermatitis nodularis". They are thickened raised bumps that can be quite painful and e eventually need to be frozen off by a dermatologist. I have tried other pillows with holes in the past but have found that with neck issues, I needed to customize the thickness of the pillow to fit my needs for comfort. This pillow works beautifully. I removed a large part of the filler initially, trialed the pillow but needed it thicker, so added more back in until it was the perfect comfort level. Love this pillow. I sleep so much better and my ears are very happy.

This Pillow Solves the CNH Dilemma
I had CNH years ago and my dermatologist removed the cyst at the top of my ear, which left a tiny section of my ear missing, but not too noticeable. In the past year I began developing small but painful cysts, on both ears this time around. What to do? Get the ears removed or hacked to bits? No way. I discovered the PWAH and liked what I read. It made sense to relieve pressure on the ears for side sleepers, like myself. I received it a few days ago and after ONE night, I kid you not, the pain subsided and my ears are returning to normal. No more pain. They say the little bumps will heal in about 2-3 weeks and I notice after 3 days they are already getting smaller. PWAH really works. If you have CNH, buy PWAH and solve your discomfort, plus it's cheaper than a trip to the doctor. No surgery, no bills. And nights are much more comfortable on the pillow. Sleep is much better.UPDATE - After 1 month my ears completely healed and I switched back to a regular pillow. I'm storing this pillow in the closet as a solution for any future CNH problems. It's great! Like putting your doctor in the closet and on call whenever you need need another CNH treatment.

Absolute Must for Cartilage Piercings
I love my Original Pillow With a Hole (P.W.A.H)! After 3 years of sleeping on a travel pillow, I can sleep on a pillow again! I am a side sleeper and have multiple cartilage piercings in varying stages of healing, in both ears.I have been using this pillow for over 2 months and the hole for the ear allows me to easily switch sleeping sides and I can sleep on my back comfortably as well because it’s an actual pillow! The ear hole also decreases the irritation that comes from accidentally sleeping on piercings and my piercings are looking and feeling much better. The fact that the pillow’s firmness can be individualized was a big factor in my decision to purchase it. At first the pillow was too firm for me, but per the manufacturer’s instructions, I removed some of the filling & manipulated the remaining stuffing to have the correct firmness and the pillow is perfect (I saved the filling in case I need to use it in the future). The P.W.A.H. came with a nicely made, soft white cotton pillowcase that feels great against my face. It stays in position on the pillow pretty well as I change sleeping positions during the night. I wash/rinse it in cold water on the delicate cycle and air dry it and no shrinkage has occurred. I have ordered a second pillowcase in Deep Marine and am looking forward to receiving it.Though the pillow is smaller than a standard pillow, it is bigger than a travel pillow, and works just as good as a standard sized pillow; I actually like the smaller size better for sleeping on.I also bought the travel size Original P.W.A.H. and love it too!If you have cartilage piercings, this pillow is well worth the cost! I highly recommend it to my friends and anyone who reads this review :)

Very good product. Why not make it full size?
I got this pillow after coming back from the dermatologist, who diagnosed my problem as CNH. The cause seems to be sleeping on that side all of the time, which I have to do because of my sleep apnea and my CPAP machine being on that side. The problem is that he injected my ear in that spot with a steroid. Since the injection, I have not had pain in that ear (the steroid is supposed to make the condition go away, though it is still a good idea to sleep with the pressure off of the ear). Without having pain, it's hard to determine how well my ear is staying in the hole and how well it is working. The pillow is very well made and the hole seems about the right size and shape and is in about the right placement in the pillow. I found it too firm and took out some stuffing (that is a good feature). It was still too firm, so I took out more. Then it was very comfortable but the hole was not differentiated enough. Finally, on the third try I got to where it was fairly comfortable and I could pretty well find the hole and get my ear in the right spot. I find the pillow too small and use it over a fairly flat down pillow. I don't see why they can't make this pillow full size. I might then not have to use two pillows. That said, I am very happy with it. One review suggested a less lumpy stuffing. I would certainly like a bouncier, less lumpy stuffing, but am not sure that is possible. Overall, a well-made product that, with a little playing around to get it to your liking, does the job.
