Well Made Toy
My son bought this with money he earned, and wanted to make sure that what he bought was good quality. He loves it!

Paper Cap Refills are NOT included... Let me help you find them! :D
I understood there would be no caps included when purchasing this, so I made sure to find refills before I finalized this order. Let me help you do the same...-You can find the refills on Amazon by searching..."Back to Basics Paper Caps for Parris Style Shooters (One Package Per Order)"NOTE: Most cap shooters on Amazon do NOT have their respective cap refills. Save yourself the time and just buy this one w/the cap refills I mentioned above.-You can feel confident that the refills for these paper caps will still be available in the future, as the listing for the refills have been up since July 30th, 2019.PROS: Innocent and honest fun, even for adults; it's good for nostalgia.CONS: Small and awkward to hold. I expected this, and it doesn't take away from the fun.

Solid, durable cap gun! Trigger just a bit stiff.
UPDATE:The solution for the stiff / sticking trigger is just a drop or two of oil on the trigger pivot. The gun works perfectly, every time, now.ORIGINAL REVIEW:My 3 year old son can't get enough of this cap gun. The only reason I give it four stars and not five, is that the trigger is a little stiff and sometimes gets stuck in the depressed position. You have to pry it forward with a finger to get it "unstuck."Otherwise, great fun! The metal-on-metal hammer/chamber interface ensures >80% of the caps go off the first time around. That's much better than plastic cap guns, which have a fire rate of ~50% in my experience.Until I find a better one, this is the best strip cap gun I've found!

Value
I thought it would be pretty junky, but it was way better than I ever expected! Great value for some good old time fun. My son is 17, I was telling him about it from when I was young and then we looked it up and I had to get him one. They are so old school cool!

Good, but....
The spring keeps breaking on the trigger. This is the 2nd one and both broke. Other than that you can push it back to fire again.

Thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so glad to find this, what looked to be an old fashioned cap gun...right? Metal construction, designed when things were made to last, not break so you have to buy a new one. So I ordered this from Amazon. It arrived in a plastic bag, with no sort of packaging that you'd normally expect or as it was pictured to have in Amazon's listing, which was suspicious...but I needed this for an Easter morning Easter Bunny basket, so I kept it.Well, it doesn't work. The mechanism won't advance the cap roll. The trigger and hammer don't work great, but the lever that advances the cap-roll not working is really the big problem. The gun is useless. I can only believe Amazon sent me a gun that was previously returned as defective, which would explain the lack of packaging. So right now my little guy is super upset on Easter morning trying to play with his useless toy. Due to the lack of packaging, I must assume Amazon sold me a defective gun that was previously returned. Of course I can return the gun and Amazon will refund it. Is Amazon going to refund my kid's Easter morning? A**h****!
