great leather working tool, carbon steel
I'm glad to see these are still offered, oldies but good, I own a few of the Friedr Herder leather working knives and they are wicked sharp, carbon steel so they sharpen right up, or strop em. Even better there are a few shapes for difficult cut outs. Steel is thin so they cut tight. These are a steal at these prices, kind of like the unstained version. The tang isn't 'full' but as a knife maker its full enough, not going to break loose ever. Plus it puts a little weight into the front, the blade. light as a feather.
