The best for leather and waterproofing.
Always great for waterproofing. I use this on all my leather boots.

This works!!
I ordered a leather phone case that was not only not waterproof, but would turn a hideous shade of dark brown with every water drop and take hours to dry. After using the otter wax, the case was 100% waterproof! And it didn’t change the color of the leather at all. When I got done wiping it down after the applying the wax, it didn’t feel greasy in anyway. I included a picture of water drops on the phone case that bead up and then the phone case after wiping the water off. It’s like the water was never there. I’m very impressed with this stuff.

Does What It's Designed To Do
It will change the color of light leathers. I didn't care because I wanted my Brunt boot (water RESISTANT) in this style. It also made my Blundstones already a dark brown, a tad darker so they almost look black. That said, it's going to wear so no biggie.Going to Scotland next year and I definitely want my boots waterproof.

Otterwax worked great on my nubuck boots
Otterwax boot wax is a unique product that is perfectly suited for nubuck. I have a pair of Rockport chukka boots that somehow got a stain droplet on one toe. I did everything I could to remove the stain, from Gojo hand cleaner to dish soap to saddle soap. The saddle soap worked to remove most of the stain but some discoloration remained. I decided to try to wax or otherwise treat the boots to protect them from further discoloration and try to even out the remaining slight blemish. After much searching for a product that would work on suede or nubuck, I found Otterwax. It arrived promptly on schedule. I applied Otterwax with a foam applicator, but I think a small polish brush, a cloth or even fingers would work just as well. It went on evenly and left a rich light caramel color on what had been very light colored boots. I let the first application dry overnight and then made a second application. I let that dry overnight and then buffed the boots with a shoe polish brush. The boots came out perfectly, and the the new tone is perfect as well. I like it much more than the dirt-magnet beige that was the original color. The boots are now water resistant and the surface is far more durable than as-made. I'm glad I bought the large size tin because I ended up applying it to several more pairs of shoes and boots. It's a great product that is made in the USA from natural ingredients. I intend to keep Otterwax on hand in my shoe polish box from now on.

Great Conditionining and Waterproofing
The formula of some animal fat or replacement blended with wax to durably condition leather has been around for quite a while. It does suffer a little from wear in creases, which feels like a let-down until you realize that in these areas the protection only lasts as long as a normal leather grease would, instead of lasting 2 or 3 times as long on areas where there is not a lot of folding & creasing going on.Basically, it's a fine product, but I have to say that under the harsh light of day this is just Sno Seal with aromatherapy, which does not justify the 100% markup.

Works well water beads off.
It is a bit aquard and laborous to apply compared to spray. It works really well though on my leather boots. I was concerned how dark it turned them at first but they do lighten up to an acceptable tone after a little use.

Great solution for Blundstones
After reading and seeing photos from a post from a major Blundstone distributor in Canada, I decided to go with their recommendation, Otterwax, for proofing my new Blundstones. I have been wearing Blundstones since the 1990's plus other Australian brands like Redback and Rossi (the very best but hard to get). I have tried many products like Nikwax, Obernauf's LP and Snow Seal. Otterwax appear to be the choice that will end my search. It seams to be the best.
