Very Well Done Intro To The Human Body
Bright and colorful first comes to mind when I opened this encyclopedia of the human body. It's very well laid out and touches on just about every topic a small child would need to know. The pages are large and the paper is thick. This is no magazine. My children loved the book and I even learned a few things. The book has a feature called "Internet-Linked". How does an Internet-Linked book work? Usborne Internet-Linked books serve as a gateway to knowledge for fact-hungry children. Visit the website listed in the front of the book and enter the book and page number you are interested in learning more about. This site will provide you web addresses of safe, content appropriate websites you can visit to research a subject in a fun and informative way.I was quite impressed on the chapter about babies in the womb - they actually called them babies. You may not realize that but in today's PC world that is very rare. Each chapter is two pages long but covers quite a bit. The index was a surprise on a children's book. Make sure you click on Amazon's picture above and take a look inside the book. I think you'll be very pleased with this book.

Perfect!
I have a 3 1/2 year old granddaughter who’s been showing quite an interest in the human body, organs and bones and how they work and what they do. I found this out by accident when I discovered she’d found a few kid friendly videos on YouTube that she was watching. So I ordered this book we could read together and talk about all of the many questions she has. She loves being read to and this book gives us the opportunity to bond and learn together. The book itself is written and illustrated perfectly for kids. I would highly recommend this item for curious little minds that want to know how their bodies are put together and how it works in a very easy to understand language and pictures that further explain how everything works.

Came in mint condition. Wonderful book with great illustrations!
The book came mint, and we love it already! The illustrations are colorful, and will capture the attention of your child whether you home school them, or just want to teach them! It has a lot more information about the body than I expected like eyes, teeth, muscles, stomach, etc. It has at least a page dedicated to each thing, but it's not too much for a young child about age 4-7. My daughters are very excited to dive in, so am I!

Wow!
THis book is very comprehensive, although not quite age appropriate for first grade... at least not as a teacher. I am not ready to answer questions about some of the content in this book. It is quite detailed. I have taught 3rd and 4th grades also. I am not really certain I would want to bring those topics up at school with 8-10 year olds, either. Most definitely a wonderful resource. The pictures and diagrams are beautiful! Most definitely great for home use for teaching your own children!

Great book for all ages
I think that this a perfect book to introduce the human body to anyone. I am using it for a group of 9-12 grade special needs students. There is enough information on each page that it doesn't overwhelm them. And, I can use proper scientific language with them. Thanks for a great book!

Very informative and easy to understand
This book is excellent. I bought this for my 5 year old, although my 3 year old totes it around everywhere with her as well. I have considered getting a second copy. This book is interesting and well illustrated. Although above my kids heads at this age, they still are very interested in hearing about how the body works, and what certain things are. Its definitely a good refresher for parents too :)

Colorful and Interesting
My kids thoroughly enjoy this book. It's so colorful and full of facts on the human body. The pictures in this book are very descriptive and informative. We use this for our homeschooling curriculum and it makes a wonderful supplement as we are learning about the human body this year. The kids really love reading it.

Kids love it
Spurs great conversations about human anatomy and biology. Kids love the pictures. My kids ask questions about what they learned from it even when the book is nowhere around.
