Fertan rust converter works well
Great product I used it for de-rusting my campervan and it worked great just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong great seller posted quickly and arrived quickly would buy off them again.

Easiest rust converter
The product looks like very strong tea, which contains a lot of tannin naturally. Just paint onto rust with a brush - don't remove any unless it's flaking off - and the rust is converted into an inert material in 24 - 48 hours. Done!

Good product
This is great, used it on many things now and amazed at how far it goes. As it has the consistency similar to water a little goes a long way. I did everything I wanted to do and still a three quarter full bottle. A quick tip: instead of painting onto lots of small objects like nuts and bolt put some in a small jar and put all your into the jar, shake the jar and use needle pliers to extract the objects. Reseal the jar until you want to dip other objects. As it is like painting with water expect some drips if for example you are using it under a car. I lay old cardboard down to absorb the drips. I have covered a large boat trailer, garden tools, some car and outboard motor parts and still have a fair amount left over. Once coated the instructions do recomend painting the affected surfaces within six months. IF YOU WANT A RUST CONVERER THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE USED.

This really works!
Over many years I have used this product on rusted boat trailers and rusted metal, it certainly creates a barrier and when over painted restores to an original finish; expensive but worthwhile.

Fertan does not do what it claims
Having followed the instructions to the letter, the product failed to convert the rust on the inside of my petrol tank. It left a black residue/film that could be easily scraped away from the metal surface so could not be painted over. The product is supposed to prevent the occurence of flash rusting for months after treatment but in my case flash rusting re-occurred immediately following Fertan treatment (see pic). Tank was sent to Fertan UK who also couldn't get their products to do what they claimed. The sent me the tank back 6 weeks later with rust inside it.BUY THIS PRODUCT AT YOUR PERIL.
