The Cutting Edge of STEM Learning—Grandfather Approved
I recently purchased this Laser Engraver for my 15-year old grandson, hoping to encourage his interest in STEM. He loves it. To start, it was packed very well with high-quality packing materials, making it feel high end (see image). My grandson was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward it was to assemble and use. The modular design was thoughtfully laid out, with just five main components that snap together easily. It took less than an hour to set it up, and he was engraving in no time. Compared to similar machines, this one stands out for its beginner-friendly setup (and includes two large manuals). The engraving quality is impressive. The 0.01mm ultra-fine laser focus ensures precision, and it handles intricate designs on wood, metal, and even glass with remarkable clarity. It operates faster and more smoothly than some other models in the same price point. The engraving speed is also impressive—projects that would take an hour on other machines are completed in half the time. It’s not just fast but efficient, leaving clean cuts and smooth edges.Safety was a top priority for me, and this machine checks all the boxes. The enclosed design is excellent for peace of mind. It shields his eyes from the laser and helps to contain any dust or fumes. The automatic shutoff when the lid is opened and the flame sensor add extra layers of safety that many competitor models lack. I also appreciate the emergency stop button and safety lock, especially since my grandson is still learning. The enclosure isn’t just for safety; it reduces noise and keeps everything tidy, making it a more pleasant experience overall. Since this is housed in the garage, it should reduce dust buildup too.Another highlight is its compatibility. The machine works seamlessly with different software and file types. It uses both a USB connection and an app, so no dedicated laptop is needed in the garage.Overall, this machine is a fantastic tool for beginners like-- combining ease of use, safety, and high performance. My grandson loves it, and it’s been a rewarding project for both of us.

Portable Beginner-Friendly Engraver to Test Waters
NEW:Unfortunately, the seller was unreachable and I’ve never been able to get this working after assembly.OLD:I've been looking to expand what type of merch I can sell as stickers can only go so far. I saw that Woxcker was selling this new laser engraver with lower wattage and thought it was safe to give it a shot since I was just testing waters. On one hand, I could order engraved items but when you order from a manufactuering company, you can't prototype designs because you need to meet a minimum MOQ and long delivery time. With this, I can prototype designs in small quantities, as needed and as custom as requred. Woxcker have created other laser equipments before so when this beginner-friendly model released, I wanted to give it a shot.If you're looking to prototype on thin materials like, thin wood panels or leather, this is good to start with. Because it doesn't have a heavy base, this makes the engraver easily portable around the house if you were to switch up your craft station - a good design if you're a crafter on the go. However, the one I bought does not have an enclosure so you will need to buy one for yourself and to always practice safety in a well-ventilated area. The box arrived safely with lots of foam padding and because the parts were intuitive to put together, it was quick to assemble. Assembly was straight forward to install because it was only a few screws that tie it together. The laser runs smooth and quiet, and works well so long as you're on a flat surface. There's also a red knob on the side that acts as a safety so you know they put thought into this design. You will watn to experiment on different materials, so some items burn easier than others and you'll want to only work on non-flammable items.

For the price, this is a cool laser engraver!
The media could not be loaded. I do woodworking, and have been looking for an affordable engraver to bring my projects to the next level. Here’s some info after playing around with this…- the packing is excellent! Everything is held nicely in foam, and a very small chance anything will get damaged in shipping.- assembly instructions were very good. It might have taken 15-20 minutes to assembly the whole thing.- I did contact support because I couldn’t get this hooked up via WiFi to my phone, which was the main way I plan on using it. The did reply, but I think they are overseas, so keep in mind the time difference. I wish they expound a bit on their answer so we didn’t have to go back and forth though. They did say I need to hook up to a computer first, and haven’t tried the phone app yet.- there is a red knob on the side that needs to be turned and released first. I didn’t see that in the manual, but it won’t power up without doing that.- I appreciate all the files on the TF card. That made things easier. Following the instructions, I was able to load the software, the settings, the driver, and even burn a sample jpg.- laser runs very smooth and quiet. The quality is very good, especially with a sub-$200 laser. You will want a ventilated area, as you will smell burning wood obviously.- the sample I’m burning is on hardboard, and it burned very easily without even changing any settings. You can see the video is fairly quick, although the test image is a small iiwii logo I made.Overall, very excited to get this working in my workshop and with the phone eventually.

Great for beginners and regular users alike
It was a LOT of pieces but they were thankfully packed and sorted too. It took about 45 minutes to put together but we were being methodical. It was a gift for one of our homeschooler groups. It’s a perfect engraver for beginners as well as those that use them a lot. It’s a good size to do decent projects without being too big nor really heavy. It is great for thin pieces of wood like the round ones for the front door. It was for the kiddos to use and all of the designs were accurate. We did noticed to ensure that you need to be in a ventilated area or super large room. Definitely worth the money buying as the kids learn a lot on wood crafting with it.
