If you're not south asian you've probably never heard of this little rock until recently. I found this on TikTok and had to try it as a replacement deodorant. This is amazing, lasts longer, has no smell, natural and for this price, it's a complete bargain. A rock will last for sure 1 or 2 years for the same benefits as a normal deodorant. Definitely get this if you want a natural deodorant (also good for travelling cheap since it's not a liquid!)

Had never heard of this before, saw a video on YouTube sowing the benefits of alum in your shaving routine, and wow, it's great. Occasionally getting ready quickly results in more than one shaving incident and this is the last thing needed xwhen trying to leave the house in a hurry, little pieces of paper stuck to your face as your flying out the door is not a good look, no more with this, just rub your face and after a little stinging ( after all it is an astringent like after shave) boom, no more nicks, it works well, don't get me wrong if you sever your ear it won't fix that but it's definitely comparative to after shave without you having to smell heavily of fragrance as you are in more control. Try it see how it works for you, after all it's cheap enough for a punt!

I received 2 blocks of alum for £4.02. They are labelled as having come from India at a local retail price of INR 20 each (which is roughly 22p). So the mark-up is clearly exorbitant. Nevertheless, I'm a happy customer since it does work. I bought it to apply after shaving since I switched to a shavette. It definitely closes up cuts and limits bleeding. It stings mildly if you've been rough with your shave, but this is short-lived. Surprisingly, I discovered additional uses for it. For instance, it works an absolute treat in the underarms region and keeps away the body odour as good as any deodorant. Of course, it has no fragrance of its own so can be used in conjunction with other products of your choosing. It also works excellently for girls who want to use it for after-wax routines. Moreover, it helps with general itchy skin and leaves a cooling effect. I will buy more.Tips: wet repeatedly when applying to skin. keep the block in a standard soap dish with drainage. Otherwise it will dissolve.

Works a treat as a deodorant & mild anti-perspirant. Skin or stone needs to be wet and rubbed in well. Better than any other deodorant as it doesn't leave marks on the clothes, is neutral smelling and lasts all day long. Antiseptic, preventing spots. One bar will last you ten times as long as any other product, minimal plastic or paper wasting!

Unfortunately I developed an allergy to almost all commercial personal care products, and the magnesium and/or bicarbonate of soda in many natural deodorants gives me a painful rash.Alum blocks work great for me as an alternative. A spray of water (I use rose water with a little patchouli and vetiver), rub the stone over the area seven or eight times, and my usually smelly pits stay odour free. In between uses I store it in a lidded soap dish as it's fragile and will shatter if dropped. The first few uses of a new stone will be slightly scratchy so use more water and be gentle! Then the edges get rounded off and it's super comfortable to use.The only shortcoming of alum stone as a deodorant is that it's not an antiperspirant so on hot days or if I'm a lot more active, my underarms can get a bit damp. On those days, loose clothing is a must!

These should be good value Alum blocks, 2 were supplied and they arrived quickly Unfortunatly there was no protection (ie padding) to protect the blocks in the post and both were damaged with shattered corners and large cracks throughout the blocks, I wetted the blocks and allowed them to dry before using. Although this sealed a few of the cracks the corners remained crushed and powdered, so though usable a percentage of the blocks had to be thrown away.I suggest a padded bag or sheet of bubble wrap be used in future the prevent disappointment with other customers.
