Really helpful for looking into heat/heating problems
The thermal camera has been very helpful at tracing heat related things. I've added a few pictures to illustrate how it's been able to detect radiator pipes within walls, under hardwood floors, under carpet. It's also shown colder spots on a radiator. Also it shows the cold section with the loft hatch and also an unexpected couple of cold sections in the ceiling. The device itself is tiny, but a doddle to plug in and use. The periodic self-calibration is helpful to keep temperature indicators in check. It's easy to set thresholds for upper/lower temperatures.I'm really glad I went for the higher resolution this camera delivers - it's very helpful. You don't need to have it as picture-in-picture mode, but I find it useful for keeping images afterwards.I have zero complaints about this device.

Decent little device. The USB-C extension cable however was DOA
Excellent device, great for seeing where heat is escaping from the house. Unfortunately the USB-C extension cable was DOA

Top Quality Thermal Camera that Works Perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. My husband and I keep Birds of Prey; to tell the truth, they are our absolute babies, but I live in terrible fear that their housing may not be 100% as safe as we have tried to make it. Having been in two house fires when I was a child, I am so aware of the possible risk of fire from faulty electrical appliances. The accommodation of our three birds is mostly made entirely of wood and wire; there is electricity in the service area, which powers a large freezer, lights, tube heaters for the birds in winter, and several security cameras. My worry is that one of these many appliances fails, overheats, and causes a fire. The consequences of that really don't bear thinking about!. This is where this ingenious thermal camera is going to give me an unbelievable amount of 'peace of mind'.Please take a look at the video I have made of my husband demonstrating the camera; there are also some screenshots showing how easily it detects even the smallest amount of heat... although, please don't laugh at my very cold nose, which can clearly be seen on one of the shots! :-)In summary, both my husband and I are truly in awe of how brilliant this tiny little camera can perform, and I wholeheartedly recommend this top-quality device to everyone. I would actually give this ten super-shiny stars if I could! For your confidence in this Vine Voice review, I am under no obligation as to what I can or cannot write, and I only ever leave honest and unbiased reviews, whether they be good or bad.Thank you for reading this review, and I hope you find it helpful.

Another quality Hikmicro product.
Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. This device works quite well and as someone who uses another HIKMICRO B10S handheld thermal camera daily for work, this will be a welcome addition and will likely replace the camera I currently carry around with me in my kit bag.In the box, which is nicely presented you get a carrying case, a pair of USB adapters, one being USB C female to male Lightning connector for use with Apple devices. You also get a USB C extension cable to enable use of the camera without it being attached to the phone which is handy to have.Setup is about as simple as it gets, you download the App, install it and off you go once you setup the permissions, you do not need to set up and account or anything like that, it’s basically plug and play and worked first time on my Moto G73. The App is very intuitive and basically acts like the Google camera App, press the round capture button to take a still shot, that’s about it. You get various options to configure the camera and change picture modes, i.e. from colour gradient to grey scale etc basically what you would find on their handheld models though you have a far bigger screen and its far easier to use in my opinion.I had intended on using this with the remote cable due to not wanting to put too much strain onto the USB port on my phone but I needn’t have worried, it works fine, the connector on the camera module provides a nice tight fit on to my phone and the camera itself is not very heavy at all, its quite impressive how light it is.Highly recommended.

Much better than flir and other products I've used
I have previously had a flir which suffered from phone compatibility issues. This one just plugs in and worked without any fuss (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6), the quality was decent/as expected and whilst there's some variation on temperature, it takes a decent photo and helps identify leaks. Photos carry a watermark, but you can change this in the settings to your own or remove. The colour mode can be changed to help highlight hot/cold spots.

Easy to use and really impressive
This mini thermal camera is fantastic. Firstly, I really like the fact that it is metal, not plastic, but I would expect that at this price. The camera itself is very small. It comes with a USB-C end but with two adapters including a lightning adapter which I used on my iPhone. You need to download an app to use it and then all the settings are in there. It is also possible to save the photos within the app. I just played about with the settings (eg to highlight either hotspots or cool spots) without reading the instructions and was able to get decent, understandable pictures. It was odd though that I could see the ‘heated’ reflections of myself and my family in our windows - I’m no scientist but this didn’t make sense to me.We’ve already used it to seek out the colder, draughty areas of our house and also where we heat seems to be escaping unnecessarily. Recommended.
