I can see
I can see what are melting. There’s no ambient light coming in from behind. You can wear prescription eyeglasses or cheaters with this and also it works well in getting into tight areas where a helmet wouldn’t be able to go.

My face hurts
No, serious, it's F'n killing me! And it'll hurt you too. This thing generated pain the second I put it on, right on the bridge of my nose. The only way I could get it to fit without crushing my nose was was way up towards my forehead but doing that made it impossible to see through the window.WTF? It's like they used that re-re Family Guy kid with the upsidedown face as the model. Oh no, wait, maybe I'M that re-re Family Guy kid with the upsidedown face. That would explain some things. I mean, it wouldn't explain the raw hurt that this mask created but whatever, upsidedown face notwithstanding, this things going back.

Doesn't fit very good (with update)
They seem functional enough. I like the features they have. How the head strap mounts to the goggles is pretty cheesy. I see that being a weak spot that may not last long. The biggest problem is the fit for me. I have kind of a big nose and the hard plastic of the goggles sits right on the bridge of my nose. Not comfortable.Update: i originally gave this product 3 stars based on the comments above. the company reached out to me after seeing my review. I didn't reach out to them at all. They wanted to make things right and certainly did. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend this company.

OK welding goggles with partial face protection
These are OK for cutting and burning. One problem I see that is probably going to happen is the top of the goggles there’s no debris or dust cover over all of the controls so when you’re grinding and welding guess where all that grinding dust is going to go and all the sparks right on top of the unit and it is probably gonna mess up the controls I can only imagine.I don’t think I’d use them for most of my stick welding, which is pretty much the brunt of all the welding that I do. They’re not super comfortable because the gasket goes around your eyes and your nose puts a little pressure on your nose. I would Recommended using them for cutting and I think you’ll be OK. They won’t be comfortable if you have to wear them for a long time if you’re welding in my opinion. One other good use for these would be if you’re welding in a tight space and your hood will not let you weld comfortably. They don’t use separate replaceable batteries. It’s got a built-in lithium battery with the USB charge port so just make sure you charge it up before you use It, wouldn’t be good to run out of power in the middle of a job. It does have an LED light on it, which will help illuminate your work area, it’s use is yet to be determined though.

Questionable quality
I was excited to get the upgraded version of these grinder/welding goggles. The earlier version has a battery in it works very well just annoying that the battery dies out and there’s no real way to seem to turn it off. So I was excited to see the new one had a built-in battery and does seem to have a way to turn it off. but to my dismay, a 2 foot fall not forced just the weight of the system themselves hitting the ground was able to crack the screen more than one place. I’d hate to think that if something was to fly at your face and hit you that you would not only be upset that your screen was cracked, but it might not actually stop anything from hitting your face. I do not know if I’ll re-order anything from the company again as I can’t believe that this is the kind of quality they push out.
