Sprouts quickly
I used the warm water method:Rinse seeds.Put in tall container.Add warm water.Change (warm) water 2 times a day.Increase water amounts as needed (I did 2" above tallest plant to encourage height).I only started with half of the seeds (in case I mess this up on my first try)Today is day 7 and signs of germination look to be at LEAST 80%. They grow so FAST once they sprout. Quantity of seeds received and the fact that they arrived already scored, made this a great value. I can't wait to add them to my pond! (Once they have roots.)

Super excited
I’m super excited about these little guys. I had at least 75% of the seeds sprouted in 7 days. Once I put them in the pond they grew 2-3 inches in a day. They are still small but they are growing like crazy. I can’t wait to see their flowers.

Seeds are small and hard, hard to score
Update: I was able to score the seeds after I soaked them over night, and they are now starting to sprout, not sure if that's the proper way to do it but it worked.I received the seeds and have attempted to score them per directions, but for the life of me I can’t. I tried sandpaper and knife. My hands are too arthritic to hold them, so I may not get results like id like. The seeds are hard and small, so be aware.

Quick to sprout
Day 5, 75 percent have sprouted and been placed in soil/water. These 3/4 are doing great, I'm happy with it even if none of the rest grow. Can't wait to see them in my pond, making the frogs happy!

Not all bloom
only 60% sprouted, and 20% of the 6 died. So actually the cost is double

No Directions
There are no directions so I used what I could find on line. The picture of the product shows flowers but I can’t see that that is going to happen. Yes they sprouted and yes they have something that looks like it might eventually be a leaf or something, but I really think they need to be in a pond or large fish tank. The picture looks like they are just in a bowl or planter of some sort so that is where mine are. It’s getting difficult to change the water and I wonder if they need some sort of soil (again, no directions). I’m feeling sad that I got them.

Awesome but FOLLOW directions!
READ the directions! these are great quality lotus seeds. you have to make sure that you scratch a little bit off of the outside of the shell, before putting them in the water to germinate.
