Doesn’t exactly work as advertised
So, long story short- it does shrink your bags (hence the 5 stars.) But I don’t believe the product actually works on a sub dermal level. I applied the product, and I noticed a reduction in puffiness. But minutes after, I wiped the product off, and bags were back. I did this because when the product dries on your eye bag area, you will have issues with applying concealer over top of it. The dried product becomes gritty when applying another product over it in a dragging motion. The best solution I’ve found is to let the product fully dry, apply a setting spray over it, and then tap the concealer on the eye bag surface with a finger, to not disturb the dried layer of product. It still appears a little cakey, but at least it won’t become gritty when using a brush or sponge. Also, I’ve read others using the product over their make up, but this hasn’t worked for me as the texture is just too thick and will ruin the make up.

Did not work for me
I have been choosing between Dr Brandt, Peter Thomas Roth & Westmore instant eye bag de-puffer. I tried Peter Thomas at Sephora and it worked for my eye bags, it tightened and reduced my eye bags but it left a tiny white residue on my one eye bag and its colorless gel. I was thinking if it’s tinted like foundation then it would be perfect to cover some dark circles. So I decided to try the most expensive one - Dr Brandt. I told myself it’s more expensive it should work better but to my surprised it didn’t work at all! I waited for it for few days. Finally I got it last night, this morning after I washed my face and dried it without putting anything I applied it first on my right under eye bag, being careful to follow the steps instructed but to my surprised I didn’t feel any bit of tightening at all. After a minute I add a bit more - no residue, I waited for 5 mins… 10 mins, nothing happened it didn’t change the look of my eye bag at all! I was so disappointed! Im so glad that Amazon let me return it. I’ve bought in the past two cheaper ones at Amazon and it’s just sitting in my dresser, they didn’t work a bit. I didn’t know I could return them. I just order Peter Thomas just now. I really really hope it works.Anyway this is my honest experience with the product. I hope it helps.

AWESOME
I have been "attempting" to use eye tighteners since December 12/2024. I started with PTR. I will say this is a Great product. However it does have it's drawbacks. I have VERY dry crepey skin under my eyes. I use creams, serums etc. I can not use liquid or cream foundation NO matter what I do I am either left with a dry desert floor effect under my eyes or foundation lines in the fine lines and wrinkles. Now I know MANY people have had success with PTR and silicone foundation. I am NOT one of them. I have tried multiple products. But enough about that. Dr Brant's eye tightener WORKS FOR ME!! The application is EASY. After you rub it between your fingers you apply under your eyes just like you would do with eye cream I rub in lightly and then pat. I use a fan to dry. The product has an orange tint which counter acts my tan/olive skin tone. (I am Italian/Polish) I have a magnification mirror.. 20x and I look afterwards. There is NO white residue. However there may be a "slight" I mean SLIGHT orange residue BUT you can't see it because it blends in with your skin color. It counter acts the color of bags while tightening them and fine lines and wrinkles. You can also apply PRESSED POWDER foundation on top if needed. I lightly apply with a "powder puff" and then lightly blend with a very soft brush. The result is GREAT! Now you can also apply over makeup if you are not satisfied with your result once done. Just pat (do not rub) lightly and dry. I am very pleased, as I have been experimenting since December. Now I wear pressed powder makeup, I have very crepey under eyes, which is my biggest problem. I do have mild to moderate bags with mild to moderate discoloration. If this sounds like you.... or you are having trouble with other tighteners I highly recommend you try this product. Side note... I am not a liquid foundation person so I can't rave to it's effects with liquid. I also can't rave to it's effects if you have severe bags😔 But it is worth a try. If you purchase from Amazon you can always return it. Good luck!!!!!

Works well to tighten under the eyes
I bought the small size of this to try and it significantly reduced any puffiness under my eyes. I can feel it tightening the skin without crackling upon movement like some I've read about. If you use too much it will pill off on the edges but you can just brush that off - no big deal. I'm still playing with putting it over or under eye concealer. I haven't decided yet. I did like it well enough to go ahead and purchase the larger tube.Note - this goes on like an ointment and isn't particularly moisturizing. I use it after Cera Ve Renewing Eye Cream and the Ordinary Caffeine serum depending upon how much I've slept.Edit - here's a tip - the warmer it is when you put it on the better. If you are rubbing it between your fingertips expose them to a heat source first and then rub the product between them before dabbing it below your eyes.

Works well and a good value.
This does reduce bags under the eyes. I use it as instructed and see a reduction and it will last several hours. I this its good for 6-8 hours. You might find a product that works a little better but you will pay a LOT more. I think it has a great value to benefit ratio.

Doesn't work as described
Didn't work as described. I was excited to have something that could be used on a moisturized face vs. applying to dry under-eye area but, it didn't dry smoothly and left visible edges, as well as an orange tint. I have used the Westmore Beauty 60-second Eye Effects and will go back to it! While it does take some time to "learn" how to apply, I love it and it lasts all day. I am in my 60's and eliminating under-eye bags and dark circles is a game changer for me. I was disappointed but Dr. Brandt's did not do that!
