5/21/25: Received replacement grinders... so far both work as supposed to.5/17/25: One grinder works fine, the other won't shut off after the batteries are inserted. Manufacturer hasn't replied to email sent.

Not only do they look great setting out in the kitchen, they are so user friendly. I love the gravity operation and especially with the attached lids that flip open automatically. The actuating of the grind level is so much easier than my old ones. One of the best features is how heavy duty they feel as if they will last a long time. I love this set!

The media could not be loaded. Extremely disappointed with this gravity electric salt and pepper grinder. The product description is very misleading, making it sound as though all you need to do is tilt it past a 90-degree angle for it to start grinding automatically and dispense pepper. The exact words from the description even state, ‘The Sangcon Gravity Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder activates automatically when tilted over 90 degrees, allowing freshly ground spices to sprinkle effortlessly onto your delicious dishes.’ It also claims to be ‘ideal for those with arthritis.’ How insulting.While I don’t have arthritis, I am currently dealing with other injuries, and I was relying on the ease of use promised by the description. However, that’s simply not the case. You have to manually open the lid every time, and if you don’t, the pepper just grinds and sits trapped in the chamber between the lid and the grinder until you open it up to pour it all out. I was so disappointed that I even returned a previous model, thinking it was defective, but it turns out the actual defect is the misleading description, not the grinder itself.Does it grind? Yes, but not in the effortless way they make it seem. Additionally, it continues to grind before you can get it upright again, so there’s then extra pepper that just sits there until you either need to grind again, otherwise, you’ll need to slide the switch to turn it off in order to shake the remaining pepper out without activating the grinder again. And after all that, you’ll have to manually close the cover again.dThis is not at all what I expected, and I feel completely misled by the product description. This was a huge letdown and not what I was hoping for.

After only 6 weeks the milling part of the salt mill (the white plastic ring) is broken in two parts and the mill no longer functions.I contacted the seller and they responded real fast, asking for a picture of the broken part. I sent that back immediately, and after that..... NOTHING for 4 weeks. Once I filed a complaint, they did respond and sent me a complete new set. I'm happy again.
