These are great!
I bought these for fun, just something else to mess around with while in the woods, you know? For the price, I didn't expect much. I was wrong. These are awesome. Both spear points are well made and are sharp out of the box. Really sharp! They have a nice thickness to them and are well suited for bushcraft, survival, messing around, whatever you want. They are thick enough to fit into a cut or batoned slot without causing it to split more. I would suggest looking for the nylon carrying case for these that Amazon also sells very inexpensively. If you don't do that, I would suggest maybe wrapping these in a thick bandana or other cloth. In case you're wondering, yes all you do it split a long branch and strap this into the split area. It comes with a small length of paracord to do that, but honestly I think that length of paracord is the bare minimum and maybe not the best way to do it. It will work, don't get me wrong, just not probably the best. I plan on using tarred twine (bankline) to strap these to a stick.Just thinking about it, I think what I'll do is put these in the nylon case for them, then wrap that case in the tarred twine, and that way all pieces will be together and that will provide more than enough twine to wrap these on a stick or pole. These would also make decent knives in a pinch, just strap them to something handle length.Definitely would recommend these to anyone who's interested in them. They're good quality, inexpensive, and easy to use.

Fair spear heads
They are what they are described as the amount of cord is a bit silly but who doesn't have plenty of cordage, they are fairly sturdy the serrated edge is quite sharp there is a mild edge on the spear blades, but it is not sharp however could be used for skinning just remember they are spear heads not a knife they pierce not cut and the point is sufficient for that it would be possible to put an edge on them if you can't afford a knife if you need a long knife buy a sword spears don't require a sharp edge try putting an edge on a javelin lol they are easy to pack away in your kit for when you need them just make a folded paper block (strange as it may seem folded paper is very good at stopping punctures) for the tips and serrations then cover in tape until needed that way you don't wind up with a hole in your pack or pocket.

Need more paracord
The metal that they used to make the spear heads is sturdy and strong. They didnt come sharp, but are easy to sharpen. The only complaint I have is with the amount of paracord they give you. I think it's maybe 12 inches? Hardly enough to secure the spear head to anything.

So close.
was looking for a way to make cheap spear for throwing practice. I know, I know, but I'm a martial history nut and I didn't want to spend a fortune making an actual spear just to destroy it by throwing it at stuff. I figured these and some dowels/repurposed broom handles and I'd have some spears to let me and the boys play caveman with on the outdoorsy weekends. Turns out I'd have been better off just buying some cheap sheet steel and making my own as these are perfectly designed to not work well with ANYTHING. Ultimately they wound up having the bases ground down to fit inside half-inch steel piping with a spacer to fill the gaps and then hammer-rivetted in place. No cross-guard, so poking dangerous stuff is a no-no, but they fly decently and man do they penetrate. A buddy of mine took them on as a project and actually got both over a foot into a hundred and ninety pound boar that got nosy in regards to his greenhouse. We've all seen boars shrug off one-ounce slugs from a shotgun, so nobody laughed about my useless pig-stickers after he told a story where he threw two spears at a charging boar and it gave up, then just laid down and died when he surprised it walking out of forge with my useless pig-stickers in his hands. Suffice to say there are better options than these even just on Amazon itself, but even crappy spears are still dangerous.

Definitely should be in everyone's survival kit.
Easy to use. Doesn't take up a lot of room on a survival kit.

Good thick steel spear tips!
