Good ones, would buy again or recommend.
Received units simply work as they should, no bad surprises despite some negative reviews. Pairs with my iPhone in a snap and stays connected, good audio quality for a basement gym, aux input in an old car, etc.

No ringtone over Bluetooth speaker with this module.
This module works fine but here’s what you should know. I wanted to make a Bluetooth speaker that would reproduce the ring tone of a connected iPhone. Since I was unable to get it to do that I posted a question. Several users said it would do what I wanted but here’s what MakerHawk had to say:“Hello, Not supported. This module does not support incoming call reminders. Best regards”

Delightfully inexpensive, small
I'm going to stick this little booger into an old Sony Xplod boombox that otherwise has no future so it can live on as an oversized bluetooth speaker that takes D batteries. Not really practical, but what else can I do with it? Throw it away? One downside to this is that it only supports the SBC codec which is the lowest audio quality available. It's the OG-level 44.1kHz 16 bits per sample. I'd happily pay more if I could get a device that supports APTx and then I'd probably add one to my car!The only other downside is that the LED blinks blue constantly when paired. Most any other bluetooth device will blink when nothing is paired and switch to solid when paired. Not sure if there is a way to get into the software of this board to change it, but will will have to snoop around to find out.I was going to go the ESP32 route and bridge to a discrete audio chip, but this is far easier and will be cheaper in the end. I would totally overcomplicate my effort and probably then add a soundreactive WLED, stuff LEDs in the flash to music, add more buttons via the GPIOs etc. Easy to go nuts with cheap components, but the time you spend ain't free.

Use this to get the best BT
These are the best DIY devices I've purchased in years. I've added BT internally to two speaker systems and the results were amazing. I've actually replaced my BT earphones, which no longer work, by putting one of these in my pocket with a small phone charger I got free from the local lottery guy. Works great!! The best thing is that it benefits from all the BT spec upgrades to BT5.0 - works with almost anything!

Nice card, but Sound Card Function does not work
These are great little modules, at least for the price. Sound is pretty good and BT connection is easy. They have added some convenient pads for power and audio output signals. However, I can't get it to function as a sound card. I have connected the two sets of tinned pads on the back side which allow the USB D+ and D- signals to reach the chip, but plugging into a PC does not enumerate or even recognize anything has been connected to the USB port. There seems to be a complete lack of information on how to use this as a sound card except for'When the computer sound card is used: tin the pads in the two boxes corresponding to the Sound Card on the back of the module, and connect it to the computer USB port through the USB cable at this time, and it can be used as a sound card.'Perhaps there is a way this will work as a sound card, but so far I've tried 3 of them and am having no luck. Great product otherwise!

One of these with a small DC-DC power reducer breathed new life into my RCA Victor
I just love the look and appeal of vintage electronics, however the electronic cr@p you get today no longer have audio jacks. So.. I placed one of these in my RCA Victor Bookshelf radio and Huzzah! Metallica sounds like they did back at the Stone on Broadway circa 1983! Ear buds suck.
