Great Diversion from Electronic Devices!
The media could not be loaded. Let's put down the electronic devices and have more fun with little gadgets like this! I find these types of puzzles intriguing and challenging, and I often set out on my desk or coffee table little fidget "distractions." The Mind Puzzle fits nicely in my adult hands, and the gear movement is very smooth and easy to slide clockwise or counterclockwise with one hand. Youngsters might need to use 2 hands, and I admit I giggled at the fact this resembles the shape of an electronic game controller. The lightweight plastic maze is marked from start at cog #1 through the last cog #24. The numbers are actually engraved in the plastic background with little arrows to show the intended direction. Those engravings are difficult to see in low light, but the last #24 is clearly "inked" in black in the engraving. The concept is very simple, but the challenge is moving the large outer gear in the correct direction to shift each of the internal cogs to the correct opening in the maze. I took a short video so that you can hopefully see the challenge in moving the little silver ball bearing through the maze without it dropping into one of the holes in the background. I actually played with this for several minutes just to get through the first 6 or 8 sections, and the ball fell into the same hole each time - the challenge will be getting beyond that section!Although the packaging says this would be appropriate for children ages 3-12, I don't think many 3-year-old kids will understand the concept of moving the ball through the maze. They may be entertained by watching the gears move and watching the little ball disappear, but I think an older child would perhaps find the challenge in the game, following the correctly numbered sequence through to finish. I think many adults might also enjoy this as a quick distraction - those times when we need a fast break to clear our heads and get a fresh start or when waiting in a phone queue for customer service - without picking up the cell phone to scroll mindlessly through social media. ;)Smooth plastic body, easy moving gear, light weight and comfortable fit in the hands makes for a fun little game/fidget toy for most ages!

This toy has quickly become a go-to solution for keeping kids entertained without screens. It's clever gear mechanism adds a layer of challenge that's perfect for building motor skills and problem-solving abilities, making it engaging for younger children and toddlers. However, it's versatile enough to captivate older kids, like my 9-year-old, who enjoys the delightful challenge it offers.Whether you're on a long car ride or dining at a restaurant, this toy is a game-changer. It effectively prevents the constant requests for tablets or screens while providing portable entertainment. Its simplicity and effectiveness make it a must-have addition to your family's arsenal of screen-free entertainment options. In a world filled with digital distractions, the this toy stands out as a refreshing and engaging alternative. Excellent for hand eye coordination
I used this product to see if it could be useful for the elderly with hand eye coordination and for those with hand and wrist injuries. I have to say this was a great maze game for both of those issues. I liked that it was easy to use and the cog wheels moved smoothly. Balancing the metal ball through the maze made my hands and fingers work well together to move the ball and to turn the large cog wheel. The maze game toy is made of a sturdy plastic and looks like it can survive a fall to the ground. I highly recommend this maze game for all ages and for those that need to improve their hand eye coordination and for exercising hand, finger, and wrist injuries.

A fun combination of gears and marbles
My grand kits love motorized gear sets. They also love ramps and shoot with marbles. This toy combines those interests and adds a bit of STEM in that they can move gears and marbles around and learn a bit about motion and physics without knowing it and while having fun. Also a good value.

Also for adults.
This was for my grandson but I may be hooked on it. Guide the little ball thru the maze, miss the holes , if you land in a hole, now you will start over. A great mind thinking, steady hands, and using the wheel to guide the ball to the end. Good game.

Good challenging puzzle for one or two uses
This maze was a great challenge and fun to figure out for myself. But once I figured it out and got through it a time or two, it was not worth repeating. If you've got a kid that likes a good challenge and doesn't give up easily, it could keep them entertained for hours. The kids I let try it got bored and frustrated quickly and neither got very far with it. Definitely not for everybody. But for the right kid, it might be worth it. I would have really loved it as a kid. The turning mechanism can be a bit difficult to operate, adding to the challenge level.
