Scares me too
Don’t know if I love it , as it keeps scaring me when I look out the window. However… I’ve had it installed now for 2 weeks and had no issues with critters. I had a hawk come by and sat on my fence for 5 mins and was checking it out by looking at it then looking away. I could tell the hawk was sussing it out. It did fly off and I haven’t seen it since. At night the red reflector eyes work well as well as the owl sounds. It’s just so real.

Not realistic looking at all.
I got this to deter Ravens but when I realized that to get it to stay on my dock I would have to actually screw it to the dock surface I didn’t use it there. It is NOT realistic looking but I am going to try it again with heavy duty outdoor velcro to try to attach it to the dock and see if that will work. I wish I wouldn’t have purchased this.

Looks good
It looked it could be feared by small animals, sound seemed authentic. First day out birds ignored it, red squirrels attacked it. So much for fear. But Halloween is coming.

It does not work with eyes flashing only.
It was making the sound and the eyes lit when the button was pressed. There was no way to just use the lights. I finally opened it and cut the wires to the speaker. The eyes do not flash, they are either turned on or off. They just keep glowing. Don't get this one. It is junk

Realistic
I love that it has realistic eyes and that it makes a noise to scare birds away. Birds used to take over my deck, but this owl is keeping them away. Also my husband was able to screw it to the deck so it won’t blow away. The screw holes are a plus!

Not well made
When I first put this up it was hard, hammering screws in seems not a good idea. That day, saw my last mocking bird, they have not come back. That was with no sound. I must have hit the off button when putting up, so no sound or lights. Today, took it down, the directions say to move it around, good luck with that. The tiny screws that hold the wires and bottom together are maybe 1/4 inch. Once you nail a screw it, how easy do you think it is to get out, not easy at all. Cut it back on, found some other nails/ screws and now it’s back up. The idea is great, but hammering or screwing so close to the owl was very difficult. Dropped it once, not hearing anything now, but I’m 70, not going to waste any more time with it, I’m exhausted. At least the mocking birds are not dive bombing my dog anymore.
