Tips break off easily. Then it is useless. Sliding mechanism is fine - stiff enough not to slide away. Not bad

Poor design, it seems to me
Does not measure correctly. The fixed point is actually set 2 mm out from the "0 mm" mark. The device measures consistently, but it is consistently 2 mm longer than the actual measurement. This can be checked on a metric ruler. The examiner must subtract 2mm from all readings on the slide. Poor design, it seems to me...

ridiculously overpriced
Plastic, rickety, worth maybe $15-20 not the $57 charged per plastic ruler with pointy bits... I suggest using calipers instead as they have dual use.
