Anyone complaining about it not sticking did not install it correctly.
It works well. Anyone complaining about it not sticking did not install it correctly. You need to have a slight stretch as you wind it around your paddle and overlap it with the previous rotation for it to "self stick".

I've Got A Grip on it Now!
I've Got A Grip on it Now! I purchased some plastic coated aluminum paddles for my canoe. The handles were extremely slippery when wet and even dry. I found this tape and thought I'd give it a try. I have a grip of really good grip now. One roll is enough to do one paddle from the end down to where it expands at the bottom. So if you need to do two paddles by two rolls. The tape is comfortable to hang on to It's not irritating.

Good Stuff read below for blue color
I have used self fusing silicone tape in the past for electrical repairs but never for handle grip and this works awesome to improve wood handle grip. Be aware through the blue is more a baby blue than a navy blue as pictured (see pic).

The best and easy to put on
I should’ve bought these first. I bought two different oairs of gloves and a set on velcro grips for my kayak paddle but they moved around too much. This tape was super-easy to put on and worked great… no blisters after an hour of paddling, so great!!! I have enough tape left to redo both grips if/when needed too!

Stays on, excellent grip!
Excellent tape for paddles! It stays on and feels good! I was pleasantly surprised at how well this tape works. It's sticky, yet not, it's like magic! I recommend it.

Best paddle grip I have used!
The Hornet silicone grip tape delivered on all expectations. It was easy to use and does not cause any blisters on my hands. I have been using it since May and it still looks brand new after 3 months of use. This is the third different type of grip I have used and is easily the best. If you really want to make it more effective, put some concentric rings of electrical tape on your paddle handle first, spacing them apart by the width of the tape. Do about 3 wraps on each ring. After you put about 4 rings on, then install the grip tape. Just make sure to start at the blade (unlike I did).
