Finally have a beautiful asparagus bed.
I bought these beginning of spring. I was so excited to get these. I had tried roots from a different company the year before that never germinated. These were shipped fast, came in perfect condition and amazing quality. Nice thick healthy crowns. All have now germinated and I now have full healthy bed of asparagus ferns, and I’m now starting to get picking size asparagus now at the end of summer. And I couldn’t stand to wait I finally picked just 1 to try, and the taste was amazing I can’t wait to be able to pick and eat asparagus all the time.

Great asparagus crowns!
I ordered 5 Millennium asparagus ( 6 were sent) and 10 Purple passion (11 were sent). All roots arrived in excellent condition. I waited 2 days until I could plant them. When they arrived, I soaked them in some tap water for 3 minutes and placed them in an opened paper bag. The millennium began to sprout the next day in the bag! I planted all roots in a raised garden bed. 2 days later all the millennium plants broke ground. The Purple took about a week to break ground. Every root sprouted and they are thriving. Excellent product and seller.

Viable Crowns...
I was unsure whether these would be viable this late in the season, but out of thirty at least 27 spouted. They grow fast and are hard to keep up with, as I have to prepare the excavated dirt to be used to cover the sprouts. I used these to replace ones I had purchased from another seller that did not grow but that was probably due to the heavy rains we received in quick succession this spring that caused the crowns damage. I did get two of the thirty original crowns to sprout after digging them all up and replacing them. Lesson learned as this was my first attempt at asparagus.

Great customer service, beautiful roots
I purchased these asparagus roots right before unexpected freezing weather, so the asparagus roots arrived frozen. I contacted Amazon, who in-turn contacted the seller, and without hesitation, the seller sent me a new set of roots. These roots are nice and healthy. They are already sprouting asparagus, so I know that I will have a nice crop within a few years. I can’t wait to taste these. Also, the roots appear like they were well maintained, as the roots are plump, and able to retain moisture and they didn’t arrive with any rot on them.

Good product but be patient
Got these plants as a gift for my mother. Most of them sprouted with only one dud which is a pretty good ratio. Keep in mind they take about 2 years before they become ready to harvest, so be patient!

Arrived covered in white mold. Absolutely disgusting
They arrived yesterday and I went to plant them a couple hours later. Nice large roots but absolutely covered in white mold. Disgusting Waiting on seller reply. Edit sent the seller pictures and the seller said plant them anyway no refund not happy!I believed seller and planted them in a brand new raised bed also purchased from Amazon. This new bed was filled with 6 large bags of raised bed soil. Almost overnight a mass of deadly white mold covered the surface of the entire new raised bed. This particular mold is referred to as white death mold and will not only kill the plants but has contaminated all the soil . The asparagus has started growing but the entire bed contents needs to be destroyed.I did receive a refund for the asparagus but the damage caused and to replace the 6 new bags of soil, decontaminate the bed and refill with the soil that included slow release fertilizer will cost about $150 and this type of mold probably will spread to the remaining 5 raised beds installed and planted in the area.AVOID BUYING ANY PRODUCT from CZ for your safety.
