Great education tool!
This is a fantastic product! Bought it for my grandson who is 8 years old. He has been buying old radios from antique stores and I remembered getting a radio kit for my birthday when I was 9. I put that one together and remember it didn't work very well. I helped my grandson put this one together, and it was easy for him...and the radio works great! You push the buttons to autotune the radio from station to station (self seeking), and the same for the volume. The wood panels press together ( like UGEARS kits). The quality is great, especially for the price and was a good tool in illustrating the workings of a basic radio.

Great activity that produced a working radio!
My grandson put this together by himself and then used acrylic paint pens to personalize it. It was so fun to see him carry this around and to see him excited to learn about radio waves. Was cost effective compared to other STEM activities.

VERY IMPRESSED.
This kit was shipped in an appropriate box with proper packing materials. The assembly itself is straight forward. The wood is light but sturdy and provides an opportunity to customize/decorative the radio. The kit comes together nicely and makes a functional radio that has shockingly full sound. 10/10 would recommend regardless the age of the recipient.

Fun to build kit, surprisingly good radio.
The kit was pretty easy to put together with my son (he is 8) and we put it together in about 15-20 min. The instructions are a bit too simplistic with mostly just following along with the pictures. One of the steps literally just said something like "assemble the box as shown the the 4 pictures below" and gave no further details. But it is a STEM kit so some figuring it out is part of the experience.Once assembled, I was surprised at how good the radio is, picks up stations pretty well for it's small size, and is quite loud for only having one small speaker.

Radio is loud
I gave this STEM radio kit a 4 star rating because it is not as sturdy as I would have liked. As long as the child is not very rough with it, it is amazing. Constructing it was fun for my nephew and myself!! The stations come in clear and loud. I was surprised just how loud that tiny speaker could be!!! I would definitely recommend this product due to the education and ease of assembly; just be sure they are not playing rough once it's together.

Fun to build, good sound
I ordered this a couple of months ago, my son had lots of fun building it and it did catch a bunch of stations, the sound is very good for a small radio like this. The screw attaching the antenna was too big so we had to buy a new fitting one. After a few weeks my son accidentally dropped it and it broke so I initially gave it 3 stars, because of the screw problem and because it broke, but the seller contacted me and offered a replacement. The seller was amazing trying to resolve the issue, great customer service! We did receive the replacement in no time and my son built it again. It works great! I recently ordered another one of these for a gift for one of his classmates. Good product! Thank you Z-Horse!

Fun & easy for my 10 year old AND gets great reception!
My 10 year old son assembled this alone fairly quickly and enjoyed the process. Not a challenging build but a great result! It plays all of our local stations clearly and with good sound quality - which is a novelty for my son since we normally stream music and don’t listen to radio. He loves radio now and we keep it in a prominent place in the kitchen to listen. We homeschool and it encouraged him to study radio waves and history around radio stations.
