Directions Some parasite infections are clear to see. For white spot, observe white spots on the skin of the fish rather like grains of salt. They can often be seen better on the fins and tail and should be visible all over the fish. White spots seen only on the gill covers may not be parasitic. Other skin parasites can only be diagnosed by microscopic examination but symptoms can be excessive mucus, a grey layer over the skin as well as drooping fins and tail. Many of these parasites have several stages in their life cycles and it is important to treat over several days in order to 'catch' all the emerging parasites and stop re-infection. Eradick has, for many years, been the parasite treatment of choice. Added every day for 5 days, it can be used to treat all kinds of pond fish and can also be used as a single dose once a month during the season. Before treating with Eradick: Remove adsorbent filter material - carbon, zeolite etc. Switch off UV Increase Aeration Allow plenty of time to observe fish Do not mix medications Leave 10 days between treatments if no improvement is seen Dosage: Add 10ml to 200gal (900L) of water every day for 5 days.

Didn't work on fish lice.
Bought this as a two in one treatment mainly for fish lice, but it had no effect on them, even at higher doses in the bucket I was using to mix in. After 24 hours, a free swimming louse was still swimming around in the hypertonic solution, so I abandoned the treatment and bought a specialist product instead. It may be effective against other parasites, but I can't say. I may have been unlucky and got a faulty bottle, but it leaked in transit and dyed everything it touched blue, including bits of the postman.

So far has worked well. Very relieved !
So far , so good, I was losing fish, possibly to an internal,parasite as the fish looked perfectly healthy, no marks, fungus, just dead ! I was worried about my Orfe as they are very difficult to treat, but they tolerated it really well, and since treatment no more dead fish( fingers firmly crossed) one disadvantage is having to switch off the UV light for 3 weeks. But otherwise it seems an effective product.
