They mostly work great ( I have two). Pros: the cats can't jump over them. They lock so that the cats can't paw them open. There are 2 locks, they could paw the bottom one, but not the top one, very clever. They are easy to install. They work really well, and are a good value. The only issue I've had, is that the rod comes loose with use over time (they use tensile strength to connect ceiling to floor). So that you have to tighten them, which happens every couple of weeks if you use them regularly, like a bedroom (there is a knob you turn to tighten them back up). But that is the trade off for not permanently installing something and having holes in your doors or ceiling/floor. It did restore peace to my house, I have a tortie that iis special, slightly violent to the other cats (and people). Now she is thrilled to have the bedroom to herself, her special area, and the other cats are thrilled to not be attacked daily, or even hissed at! It seems she doesn't hate them, as long as they are on the other side of the gate. Success and peace! Worth it!

Got the all metal one, no plastic. So happy. Cats can look outside and they have stopped crying to be let out lol. They tried to see if they could get past it but gave up pretty quickly. I thought they'd try harder. One of the cats even hopped on that table near the door and thought about jumping to the small opening at the top, but decided against it. Sturdy, no issues.

I used this gate to help turn my covered back porch into a catio, along with some chicken wire around the railings. Putting it together and installing it was pretty easy (I did it on my own - I imagine it would be even easier with another person to help!), and it works almost PERFECTLY. I'm able to still use the back porch, leave it, and close the gate behind me so the cats can't get out, which is so much better than closing the opening up with chicken wire and not being able to use it.My only gripe is that when I open it, I have to sort of "lift" the doors, because if I don't, the alignment is thrown off - they don't open smoothly without a small lift to help out. Not a dealbreaker for me, because of just how useful this gate it otherwise, but thought it should be noted for anyone looking at a cat gate. If the alignment does get thrown off, it's a pretty easy fix, just annoying to do over and over - when I figured out giving the doors a lift during opening helped avoid that issue, I had a much better experience.Overall, I recommend this cat gate - it does exactly what it needs to do (keep the cats in their backyard catio safely!) and is easy to put together, install, and use.

Seems good so far nice and secure without damaging any existing door way. Can at least keep my cats from leaving the house and can keep atrium door open . Not sure about it working to keep children safe

not worth the money or time. very flimsy and cheap. Cheaply made. I hate that I wasted my time on this.

Had cap covers in inner poles making it unaccessible for assembly. Took us awhile to figure this out and removing them was a pain in the butt. Cats can still push through. Using a large rubber band to help secure for now....

Was great at first till my kitty brats figured out how to lift latch, so I pushed the little lock so they can't lift it and now they broke the seat where the latch rests on. Flimsy latch n seat, wish it was made with a stronger plastic! Cats push through middle, i need just one piece gate! Cats are smart n if determined to get throug, nothing will stop them from figuring it out! I have older n younger cats n they all seem to figure it out! I use a clamp to hold the latch from being lifted, but they still seem to push their way through!Disappointed it's not cat proof 😒

The media could not be loaded. This gate is working well for us with the help of some chicken wire that my husband & I put up with a mix of zip ties and nails. We had to add this due to one of our 3 cats being a little bit of a menace and will get over and/or around most obstacles. The ceilings in this house are very tall, so this spot on the stairs was the most feasible spot to place it.
