They do retain some smells & stains... (Updated)
ORIGINAL REVIEW:These are fantastic! A bit finicky to wash and dry, but SO worth the bother given that they actually do what they say: no leaks and no smells! I have confirmed this by using them to store homemade soup that makes the whole fridge unit reek in my other "airtight" glass dishes which have seriously let me down. Today I tested these with some hardboiled eggs, which are notorious for their impossible to contain sulfur fumes. No smell when I open the fridge door! Yep, I'm sold! Just bought another pack of 6. I think they definitely keep meat and cheese longer than those resealable packs they come in, and they definitely out perform every brand of regular food storage bags that I've tried. We handwash our dishes anyway, so I just dunk these in hot soapy water, and shove the sponge around inside. I try not to put pressure on the seams, just in case. Then I hang the wet bag over prongs on my baby bottle drying rack so air can get inside while it's drying. Any remaining drops can be hit with a clean dish towel. Without my prongs, it's annoying trying to find a way to keep them propped open, so washing mass amounts of these at once would mean you need to hand dry. I am a bit paranoid about mold or other non nice growth, as hubby and I have moody guts already-- don't need any microscopic nasties in our food storage containers making us sick. But so far so good, and did I mention no smells?? Hubby has a nose like a bloodhound so it's really great for him to not be bombarded with aromas when he opens the fridge or freezer. I was worried about the size on these, but I can easily fit 2 servings of soup in the smaller ones, so that's fine for us. Lumpy stuff like tortellinis is more challenging, so with stiff stuff like that I think you might want a bag that has a flat bottom unless you're just packing a few. These are flat on all sides. To fill them with liquids, I hold their tops open around a canning funnel. Don't plan on standing them up by themselves, bc these aren't designed for that. But neither are most storage bags, so who cares? NO SMELLS, people. And after storing very garlicky foods, there were no smells after washing them, either. Love it when sellers are actually honest about what their products can do. If you can't already tell, I'd definitely recommend these.UPDATE:Several washings later, I'm sad to report that these actually do retain the smell of garlic, as well as stains from certain foods. While I feel this is reasonable given how pervasive garlic and certain colours can be (such as turmeric), it does dampen my enthusiasm quite a bit. Now I'll have to have dedicated ones for garlicky contents and others for non-garlic. So these aren't quite as fabulous as they seemed at first. And as I mentioned, the lack of a square bottom makes these rather useless for holding bulky items (like frozen broccoli). But that said, I do expect they will continue to keep smells IN, which means they will help keep the fridge odour free. For that, I still think these are very valuable. Since we eat a lot of garlic, I don't feel it's a big deal to have some dedicated for that purpose, but once stained, they certainly don't look clean, so I have to fight the urge to keep trying to scrub them. I plan to keep my eye out for a better alternative, if one exists.

Strong reusable freezer bags
Excellent product for batch freezing.sturdy strong plastic. Easy to clean. They come with labels but a few more would be ideal or if they could be purchased separately.

God send.
These freezer bags are a absolute god send. After realising I use far too much plastic for freezing I decided I needed to do something about it. And brought these eco bags. Thank you.

Camping/caravan/motorhome space saver
Bought these to use in Motorhome fridge/freezer where space is limited. Great for freezing single portions of bbq meat, keeping leftovers and homemade snacks. My fault - didn’t spot that these are flat and don’t have a gusset which makes them a little more difficult to dry but I put a small item inside (eg small takeaway sauce pot) and hang on a sock airer to air dry. Good range of sizes and seal feels sturdy. Haven’t used long enough to judge durability but have high hopes.

My batch cooking
These bags are strong & wash well. However, I am somewhat disappointed as the largest bag is not big enough for a quantity of food for 4. ie., chicken thighs & sauce. I repacked these in portions of 2 . But my biggest disappointment is they do not seal well and when trying freeze flat the seal comes undone despite not overloading the contents .

Easy to use, easy to clean.
I was fed up with the mess my freezer gets into because of random plastic bags, different sized containers and a variety of clips and closures. These reusable bags and handy for storing my meal-prep ingredients (cooked brown rice, grated cheese, fresh breadcrumbs, chopped onion etc) as well as repacking large packets of frozen fruit and veg into more manageable sizes. They seal well and stack sensibly within my freezer which is gradually becoming less chaotic. Cleaning them (by hand) is not a chore and very easy, especially as I also bought a drying rack. I tend to write the contents on the coloured part of the bags with a Sharpie which is erasable with isopropyl alcohol later.A good buy.
