Love this paper!
While it doesn't look like natural grass paper, it's beautiful and perfect on a backwall in a larger room that people don't get to close to see that there is no texture. I really like the sheen to it. Somewhat pearlescent. I've gotten lots of compliments on this. I happened to put in my entry way, and am keeping it for now. In retrospect I would have put in a different room. It's been up for almost a year, and the adhesive has worked well, and everything is still in place!

No hang-ups
Thanks to working from home via Zoom in the Age of COVID, I needed to quickly spruce up my drab office space. The idea of moving furniture, taping up edges , draping surfaces, priming and painting one measly 13-foot accent wall was unappealing. RoomMates came to the rescue for my home-improvement project. It took two people four hours to hang three rolls of this adhesive-backed, peel-and-stick paper. This is an exterior-facing wall, and I've had no issues with the product curling, peeling or falling due to temperature fluctuations either inside or outside (even the wall behind the steam-heat radiator is unaffected). It's been up for more than three months - through the tail-end of winter, into spring and now summer - and it still looks great. We did not bother to match up the pattern between rolls, so the seams are visible, however, hanging pictures and window treatment offset this somewhat.Overall, I thought the price was right, the product easy to handle, took very little time to complete, and looks great on camera. Highly recommend for quick-and-dirty decorating projects.

FLOAT & PEEL PAPER- DONT WASTE $$ or TIME!
The WASTED time, energy, efficiency and QUALITY IS DISGUSTING. This paper does not stay on any surface. Now I realize if you mess up and lift and place the paper back down that would decrease the sticking ability, however, it was on the first stick it simply floated on the wall. I needed to use SPRAY ADHESIVE to make the job work because time did t allow me to rip down what I installed, order new paper and start over. I’ve done inside cabinets with a better paper and had significant success. That was a small tight space with better success. This paper was used in a tall wide open space with very few cuts!! Could you imagine this paper with cuts and tight spaces… OMG…This paper has-no guidelines-feels thin-the die on the paper comes off- it’s sticking properties are extremely poor- don’t even try to stick it, partially remove it to realign then expect it to stick. You might as well just scrap the piece and start over- there are far better papers on the market!!KEEP LOOKING!

How does it compare to real grasscloth?
FAST FACTSThe roll size is stated in the specs above. Assuming your ceiling height is 8' one roll will cover a width of just under 3-1/2' allowing for pattern match. Hence for an accent wall in a small bedroom or dorm room you might be able to get away with as few as two rolls ... pretty cheap for a new look.(By comparison if you're interested, regular wallpaper is printed in two standard widths, 21 inches and 27 inches, with 21-inch wallpaper being 16.5 feet long and 27-inch wallpaper being 13.5 feet long. It is an industry standard that wallpaper is always sold two rolls per package).BACKGROUND INFOI bought my mom a winter cottage once. The place had potential but was decidedly masculine. My mom, on the other hand, preferred light and serene Asian decor. While she was away one summer I decided to gut the interior and reimagine it from top to bottom. By myself. I worked all summer almost every night into the wee hours tearing up carpeting, painting and adding custom touches. One of them was the focal point wall in her living room. I decided on grasscloth and ended up buying rolls of handmade wallpaper made in Indonesia of real grass hand applied to canvas. It cost over $150 a roll and had no adhesives; it had to be pasted and applied the old fashioned way. But oh did it look beautiful.I say all that because this product isn't even on the same planet in terms of quality to what I installed in my mom's home and I would not expect it at what this sells for a roll but guess what? Once applied to the wall it looks convincingly expensive and it is infinitely easier to apply. Especially when you step back and if it doesn't look quite right you can simply peel it off and re-stick it until you're satisfied. .These is a grain-matched wallpaper so with only a moderate amount of effort and care the seams disappear and the result looks like you hired a professional decorator.IS IT PERFECT?On the downside, up close it reminds me of contact paper that has been texturizing. It lacks in the randomness and idiosyncrasies of real grass cloth but to its credit it doesn't look too shiny. Be aware that buying this is not a substitute for real high quality wallpaper. Also note that it will NOT stick to textured walls or surfaces, the surface MUST be smooth. The seller has their market niche pegged. This wall covering is perfect for a dorm room, rental apartment or just to try a new look for a while. It is also excellent for theatrical set design ... easy to apply, easy to remove and 100% convincing to an audience. The biggest draw to this product is that, unlike most wallpapers, it can be used for temporary applications, like in a rental apartment, without damaging the wall. It is reasonably priced and is fairly attractive. It also works well when cut down into smaller pieces for inserts into furniture or cabinet panels, book covers and other creative projects. See the photo I posted as an example.

It looks great and wasn't difficult to put up
I bought this to line the sides and bottom of a bar inside a glass and mirrored wall unit. It is a bit shinier that you'd think, but in my case it worked well with the silver, glass and mirror in the unit. I think using this particular pattern as wall paper may be tricky as it is hard to match seems. In my case, because of the small area, it wasn't an issue.I did also buy the RoomMates Distressed wood wall paper to use on the lower half of a wall that was white paneling, separated by a chair rail from the top half. There were no seem matching issues there as I used the pattern as up and down slates. It looks great and wasn't difficult to put up.I think this line of wallpapers probably look and work best in small areas or on projects like drawer or cabinet fronts, interior closet walls of a walk in closet, etc. I've seen really detailed and authentic looking wood, brick, etc. look wall paper in stores that look very nice on walls - but those are at least twice the price per roll. Worth it if you can afford it though.
