Genuine or not? Read this.
I've been buying Duraplugs since the early 1990s. This review applies to one purchased from and sold by Amazon.It *is* a genuine MK Duraplug. They don't have blue/brown coloured sleeved pins anymore and now have 'Made In Malaysia' printed on them (we haven’t had UK-made plugs in 20 years).A genuine MK Duraplug never had any MK branding on it.A real one has one flat headed cover screw (shown in my pics) and the top is clearly made of rubber.Yes, the rubber finishing is a bit rough but the quality is still high.If you find fitting difficult, remove the cord grip, wire with the pins in situ and return the cord grip last.Follow the cable conductor stripping length on the supplied paper guide and it’s easy.Always change the fuse to suit your appliance:Appliance up to 700w: 3a fuseAppliance up to 1250w: 5a fuseAppliance up to 3100w: 13a fuseMy pictures show it fitted to a 500w drill so it got a 3a fuse.

Great mains plug- MK Electric Duraplug.
A nice strong mains plug and I found it easier than some rubber plugs to attach my cable. I paid £7-07 in total, which I think is a little more than I would like to pay, but MK Electric is a great make.

It's rubber not plastic
It's a good quality rubber plug i don't like hard plastic plugs in the workshop

Ultra compact but excellent design.
Fitted to a 1/2 Hp motor that powers my kitchen flour mill. (You try getting decent bread flour these days.)Heavy cable but all fits snugly.I only needed two screwdrivers, the industry norm.Ultra compact design means care is needed tucking in a heavy cable.You would only be using this for special useage.Very secure both in design and execution.Rgds.

Not rubber, barely MK.
This is not the quality you think it shall be. Product doesn't match the picture. Plastic, not rubber. L & N shrouds are not colour coded, simply black.No MK branding just "made in Malaysia".Seriously doubt this is genuine. If it is, I'd not buy MK ever again. Previous MK plugs have been much more durable.

Not like the original rubber plug. Seems smaller, more brittle and lighter than the originals. Pity
