The pool blaster works great and has plenty of power, but filter needs cleaning often.

The POOL BLASTER Catfish Ultra (Gen 2) Cordless Pool Vacuum worked great all summer with our above ground pool. It worked really well to clean up all kind of debris; including leaves and pine needles, grass clippings, dead insects, and other debris that makes its way into the pool. The rechargeable battery lasts for approximately 45 minutes of cleaning time which is enough to clean the entire pool floor. We supplement our pool cleaning regimen with a cordless robotic vacuum to reduce hands on cleaning time with our busy lives. The Pool Blaster is perfect for touching up before going for a swim, I hate having any debris in the pool when swimming! The vacuum comes with extension poles but they could be sturdier than they are. Overall, this is a great pool vacuum and when used with our robot makes pool ownership effortless!

After two uses the Gen. 2 vaccine using the micro filter does suck lots of algae from pond bottom. That said, stopping every few minutes to spray out the short filter, reattaching it, then the front piece just may not be worth it to me.I guess if one uses for a few leaves or spot cleaning you may love it. Charges well, runs good. Good value. I just may prefer larger filter bag FOR ME.

This vacuum was used on our 10 ft round above ground pool. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow along with. You have to charge it before you use it. I used it after it was charged to clean the entire pool and it lasted throughout the hole cleaning without needing to charge it again. The amount of gunk it picked up was amazing. It is very easy to use, even my 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son were able to use it without any issues. It's not too heavy or too hard to operate. The pole is long enough for our pool. The filter will need to be replaced and the replacement will depend on how dirty your pool is and how dirty the filter gets. They do have a sock filter that you can put on it and it helps catch even more junk. I am very happy and content with this vacuum.
