When in the correct place they work as advertised.
I have only used these once and with unlevel ground, I was constantly readjusting these on the ladder to match up with the gutter. They do not slide on the gutter once in the correct place put do not slide on the ladder for adjustment either. You have to remove them and move to new position. Therfore it made a fairly quick gutter cleaning take 2× longer without scratching the gutters though.

They work
As I'm sure some have, I bought these to put on my ladder as I have had the experience of putting the ladder on the gutters to climb onto the roof and one thing leads to another and all of a sudden you're sliding sideways on the ladder and headed for the ground. I stumbled upon these by accident and figured I'd give them a try. THEY WORK! They were easy to install, and they prevented my ladder from sliding side to side as it normally would. I don't have a single negative thing to say about these, they work great!

Works good
This product will give you the sturdiness you need to climb up onto a roof where the ladder is leaning against something metallic or slippery. It is hard to take the grips on and off of the ladder which makes it time-consuming but is worth the price since alternative ladder safety products are typically way more expensive. My advice is if you need a ladder that is almost completely stationary then buy one of the expensive alternatives or “just aim for the bushes”.

Works well... But.
These do work, if you get the right size for your ladder. The issue I had was the cushions slide when the ladder was extended... So I had to tape them in place to keep them from sliding out of position when extending the ladder and leaning it on my gutters. FYI.

Was on me, but still works great
So didn't see the type of ladder it's for, but I added some Velcro and it adheres well on that material. So I Velcroed my ladder and worked great, even added extra padding to the ladder than if it actually fit
