Q: What clips do I require to mount this strip?

I haven’t use any clips I just used 3M double side tape, just make sure you degrease area where tape will be applied

Q: Can we add a dimmer to this if hard wired to mains?

I added a dimmer and it works very nicely. The led is in our porch and was to bright without the dimmer
