Works for vintage keyboard
I was able to use this to reload the presets onto my Korg M1, this is not true for other cables I tried.

Works like a charm!
After trying other cables without success, this one worked like a charm. Just ordered another. Highly recommended.

More than plug and play
One of the most flexible MIDI boxes I've ever used. Out of the box before you try to configure anything with a computer, it has 3 settings, two pairs of in/out, one in/split to 3 out and 3 in/merge to 1 out. Plus if you plug in a midi controller with a USB cable, it's a host and can transmit/receive midi to any midi port and (if configured) any USB port. In/Out/Thru/Merge does it all. As long as your midi channels are set properly, it will get you where you need to go.

plugs:plays
sexier than previous versions of cords with lumpwarts in the midline. really needs USB-C adapter.

right on, out of the box.
this unit immediately was discovered by Mac's Audio MIDI utility and Cubase mapped it accurately. that is exactly what i wanted, no more no less.

Sysex Perfection
Sends and receives sysex dumps flawlessly on my Windows 10 system through both MIDI-OX and XGworks, which for some reason is a difficult feat for a lot of other USB MIDI interfaces these days. This might be the cheapest sysex-capable interface on the market right now.

Clunky at Best
I don't know if this is specific to Windows 10 or Presonus Studio One, but if I restart my DAW then all of the "detected" midi outputs no longer work and won't recover until I power down everything (even a regular reboot doesn't seem to clear it). Also, the USB DOES NOT support midi host - you can not run USB midi device in stand-alone - this is not made clear in the product description anywhere.
