Ped success
Had a few different ones and this is by far the most accurate i've used. Easy to set up with your own strides length making this more accurate and personal, rather than the generic ones.I try and get the 10,000 recommended steps daily and this is a great way to challenge yourself to get this done. Previous peds shown that i had done 16k steps when the reality on the known route is closer to 11k with this ped. Shows how inaccurate others can be. Compared to 2 others and this one on the known route and found this to be accurate ( distance / stride length). Sad i done this, but needed to know i had spent my money wisely.Would recommend and buy again.

ok
Bought for my dad as a present, and it works quite well despite being quite complicated to set up i found. It is quite difficult for someone whos not very used to technology to set up and change modes etc.

I like this because it does everything it says it does ...
I like this because it does everything it says it does but I would like it to have the ability to pause the recording and then start again.Maybe it has this function but I havent found it yet. So far I have to stop the recording and start a whole new one. This is just my personal preference. But all in all it works well, its easy to use, its reliable, its inexpensive. One thing I will ay is that the battery it comes with will only work for a few hours to give you a taste of it. You will need to buy your own battery but these are inexpensive and can be bought in most large supermarkets or diy stores.

Omron jog style ped
As soon as I tried this pedometer out I released there was a problem. The battery light kept blinking low battery sign, it did not track my runs. I was disappointed because i read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research. I ended up returning it and ordering the Garmin forerunner 310XT. I may have had faulty device as there are a whole lot of good reviews for it. However I was reluctant to take the chance again after my experience with it. Amazon were great and refunded me before I even returned it. Love Amazon hated the pedometer...

Almost foolproof step detection.
I selected this product because I have experienced single-axis pedometers and found them to be unreliable. The three axis in this peodometer allows you to keep it in your pocket or bag and not worry about it's positioning and orientation. It is very accurate in step counting and the 7 day memory can be used to identify the times when maybe you're not walking as much as you'd like. Also, the workout mode allows you to continue to track your energy usage and distance during a run.Two caveats I think people should be aware of:1. The manual stated the battery included is low charge and will need to be replaced after approx. 4.5 months.2. Those looking for a general step count, for example a working day, will find that brief, small/shuffling movements they might make in the day will not be recorded. The manual states 4 seconds of continuous movement until steps are added to the total (they are still detected).

Good for walking only
I purchased this, because I was intending on placing it in a hiking waist bag. I have a Suunto T6d watch, but the point of getting this was to wear my Casio Protrek when hiking (which does not have a pedometer). The Suunto has a foot pod relaying info to the watch. This means that it is incredibly accurate (1% no matter running or walking or what speed, over my furthest distance of a half marathon). When I purchased this, from the heaps of reviews I read and watched on Youtube, I strongly got the impression that it either automatically detected if you were running or walking, or, it had a simple way for you to tell it if you were going running or walking. Stride length is the obvious reason for this, because all pedometers use vibrations multiplied by an average stride length to give you your distance. This does not have that. You only enter one stride length, which means unless you run or walk at the same rate every day, this device will be inaccurate.I compared it against my Suunto over a 5km run, and I guess the Omron was set on a walking stride, because it was 20% off the distance.Omron are smart that they enable you to customise the stride length, so it can be set to a run stride. Had I done got this right, it may have been more accurate I guess. However, there was no way to tell, I thought I had set it on a run length. Anyway, who wants to keep on changing this setting, having to remember your stride length, and remembering to change it too, if you go for a walk or run. There are so many products out there that give you more distance accuracy. Personally, I think there is no point going for anything without a foot pod- accuracy is fundamentally flawed without having one (I looked at the Nike Fuel band and accelerometers too- no point). So unless you are the type of person who specifically sticks to one route or track, this is really not worth it. If that suits someone, it is a well built quality product.I sent it back.

Great Gadget
I thought I'd get into the habit of reviewing the products I buy now as its thanks to these reviews that always makes or breaks me buying something on here.I really like this product. Its very easy to use and as soon as you put in a couple of your measurements, you are ready to go.the main thing I like a about this is that it can be very discrete and out of the way. If your like me and don't like things clipped to your belt and sticking out then this is perfect. you can put it in your pocket and forget about it. It has a strap with clip so you can also clip it to your pocket, in case it falls out. It does come with a clip for your belt also so if you don't have pockets this is ideal.I know there are pedometers you can get for a fraction of the price but because of the flexibility of where this can be worn I think it is worth every penny.
