SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Face Lotion 3.2 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

This is an excellent lotion. It feels like a silky body butter, hydrates really well, and leaves my skin very soft. I have sensitive skin, and this doesn't bother me at all. It's got a light scent of natural coconut.My only complaint is that it's too thick to pump, but I am not taking away any stars for that because the lotion itself is so good. I took a squeeze top off of a different lotion bottle, and that worked much better.

I bought this lotion after researching many brands. I wanted to find something non-toxic. I found Shea Moisture to have very pure ingredients without harmful parabens, etc. I have been using it for a few weeks now and really like the smell and the gentle effects of the lotion. However, this lotion is incredibly thick! I have never used a lotion this thick before. For this reason I had to use a lot of lotion in order to get it to spread. So I came up with a brilliant solution (actually it was my mom's idea). I squeezed some into a small glass container and mixed a few drops of water in and voila! It turned into a creamy manageable lotion. You may think this is too much trouble, but I think it is well worth it. It will stretch your lotion out and you will reap the benefits of a wonderful, healthy, nourishing lotion with fantastic ingredients. I really like the gentle coconut smell too.

I bought this because it contains “clean” ingredients and I use this brand’s shampoo and conditioner, which are great. However, it was initially too thick to pump from container, though now that I have used about 1/4 of the bottle it pumps just fine. Great consistency on hands, very moisturizing. However I doubt I will purchase again because I find the scent much too strong. If it came unscented, or less scented, would definitely recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is by far my favorite she’s product! I buy it over and over! Goes on smooth, it’s a thicker type lotion so it last a good while. Never worry about dry looking skin with this lotion! High moisture level great quality and not strong of a scent.

I like that it's a thick moisturizer and not too strong of a smell either. It leaves my dry skin soft. But, the bottle it comes in is has a pump and it's really hard to get out since it's so thick. Manufacturer should put it in a different bottle since I have to leave it upside down so that I can get the lotion out instead of using the pump and even then it's still hard to get out. I'm getting to the end of the bottle and I can't get much out of it because of how thick the lotion is. My 3 star rating is because of the squeeze bottle. I like the moisturizer but probably won't buy again since it's hard to get out and I'll probably end up wasting what's left at the end of the bottle since it's so hard to get out.

Buyer beware!Don't buy this product in the pump bottle! I have no idea why they are even selling this in the pump bottle! It is solid thickness and the pump straw does not automatically refill for pumping! Each time the pump straw empties you have to remove the pump and reposition it several times in order to get the straw full enough pump. Sometimes that doesn't even work! I ended up literally cutting the pump bottle in half and taking the cream out and spooning it into another container in order to be able to use it. If I hadn't done that there's no way I would have been able to use the contents of the bottle. I am so confused and annoyed about the way they bottled this lotion! Anyone inspecting this product after it's bottled would know instantly that this is not a good way to disperse this lotion. I know she's is thick, but when I saw it in a pump bottle I assumed it was in a smooth pumpable lotion form. It should only be sold in a jar because of the level of thickness. I like the lotion, but what good is it if I can't use it the way it's bottled and I shouldn't even have to cut the bottle open and put it into another container in order to use it. The one star is for the lotion. The way it's bottled is 4 thumbs down!

This is my go to moisturizer. There are zero harmful chemicals in this product. It goes on my skin nicely and is not greasy feeling. My only negative comment is that it is hard to get the pump to engage but eventually it does. I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a clean, unscented moisturizer.

I've used this lotion before. I went to Target to buy a bottle of lotion, and my bf suggested I get this one (for the lack of silicone). And ever since then, I've been an avid user of Shea Moisture.However, ever since the accident, I've lost my main mode of transportation, so i decided to order this lotion off Amazon. I'm not sure if it's how the bottles are stored in the warehouse, or maybe even how long they've been stored in the warehouse, but the lotion doesn't come out of the pump easily 😭. It's really thick, and I like that, but I sat for about 20 minutes, just pumping and pumping and pumping, only to be met with nothing coming up the pump. I even had to use a chopstick to stick it into the tube of the pump just to push out the lotion. 😭With that being said, if you're okay with taking the pump off and squeezing the bottle, then buy the lotion. It still does the job, if not better, to be honest. I put lotion on one night, and 24 hours later, my skin was still silky smooth. And it still smells the same 😌Note: I only pointed out the consistency of the lotion possibly being effected by storage because I bought one lotion, realized it wouldn't come out because of how thick it was, and then asked for a replacement, and the replacement was STILL too thick 😭 they just made the lotion too good.
