GOOD RICE CAKE
These plump up very nice. Absorbs the flavors around it pretty good. It's at fair price at under $20, but we'll see what the tariffs do it.

Smaller then the ones we get at the Korean Street Food Restaurant, but easy to cook and very good taste/texture.

I don't know how I feel about these because I have nothing else to compare them to. They seemed good but required extra soaking and longer cooking than the package recommended. I would definitely hop on over to Pinterest for cooking instructions. They tasted fine and seemed to have the appropriate texture. I'm not Korean, but I wanted to try these since I've been enjoying the other Korean recipes I've been making. You get a lot for your money!

Pretty good for a shelf stable garae-tteok
Not AS good as the frozen or fresh, but will do in a pinch. When they're not the star of the show (ie, tteokbokki/Rabbokki), and used as part of a stew or something, they're just as good as anything else, but when the main dish themselves, you can tell they're shelf stable vs fresh/frozen. A tad small too.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I choose to order this brand because of the value. In hindsight, i should have ordered a more expensive option.Taste:At first it tastes fine. The aftertaste is a mix between a fruity and chemical taste. I cook mine and flavor them with soy sauce. Ive never had an issue with other brands like this. Smell:As soon as I opened the main package to remove a portion to cook, I was hit with an overwhelming chemical smell. I hoped it was just a smell, but the taste definitely was similar to the smell.
