Works really well
Easy setup and simple to use. A bit noisy would be my only comment.

As an experienced carpenter I found this a very impressive tool.
Very well engineered and simple to use. Comes with double edged blades installed + a spare set, magnets to hold the blades when you install them (nice safety touch) tool key to install the height adjustment screw and the dust extraction unit can be switched from left to right in seconds.I ran some reclaimed pine and reclaimed beech threw it and it works well.Definitely need to get roller stands to go with it to get the best out of this tool.Excellent value for money.

Very Good
Excellent Planer, it's amazing how smooth it can bring up rough timber. It's very heavy and well built unit, I haven't given it too much to do just yet, I just allowed it to take off small mm at a time on multiple passes untill i see what its capable of.I planed some pallet boards for a project and it was easy enough to use and they came up well. It's very important to remove all staples or nails first from the wood, you don't want the blades to hit them.If I'm looking for a few improvements, it would have been nice with a soft motor start, it can be a bit shocking when it's first started.Secondly the marker and ruler that shows you how thick the board will end up - the ruler sits about 1cm behind the plexi glass red mark indicator, maybe this is so you can wipe dust off it, but it means unless u are looking directly at it you will have a bit of trouble lining up the indicator with the ruler. There seems to have been a retro fit safety device added over the switches, this means its easier to blast the big red stop button in an emergency, but it does slightly hinder the feed tray from fully folding up when in storage. But honesty am nit picking for issues, for the price it's very good.

Nice clean surfaces achieved
Does a job and leaves a good smooth surface on soft and hard woods. It does have a small snipe issue but so much better than my old thickness-er that this replaced. Very good value for the price paid.

Reliable machine, order spare blades early.
It was never going to be industrial but this machine is very easy to use, had good feed and the blade change couldn't be simpler. As long as you have sharp blades you can just keep going with it. Not quite heavy duty but as long as you are careful then all good and it takes no time to set up. Double sided blades also really good and value for money. Purchase spare blades as soon as you buy as they take some time to arrive or even better, sell them alongside machine so we can get them easier.
