I'm still debating if this was a good purchase. I initially purchased 2 units but by the time the contractors finished the bathrooms and installed these units, it was too late to return the defective unit. These sirens are ear piercing loud. I would've been happy with just the strobe light. The licensed electrician had problems with 1 of the units faulty switch that kept setting off at all hours of the day or night. I ordered a 3rd unit to replace the defective one only to discover that this unit was also faulty. The licensed electrician salvaged the good parts and made everything work for now. Seeing these units are made for healthcare, I hope there's no more false alarms. Whenever you begin any type of construction or renovation, the challenge of coordinating building materials to work with contractors and subcontractors schedules presents challenges with Amazon's short return policies. As a consumer, I buy in good faith believing I'm getting quality products while not expecting to encounter so many defective products. I purchased 2 units in May 2016 for $236.42 and the 3rd replacement unit April 2017 for $109.31. Considering the electrical plans were approved by the City and wiring was installed & inspected, I had to keep this product in good working order to pass electrical & building inspection. I'll purchase construction items locally from now on as Home Depot, Lowes or other hardware stores understand the variables in construction and will credit your returns. Fortunately, we had no electrical problems with the 4 Panasonic bathroom fans we purchased through Amazon.
